• Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea is a 2008 Japanese animated (anime) film written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki. It tells the story of Ponyo, a magical goldfish who becomes human, and her friendship with a Sosuke, a five-year-old boy who lives by the sea.
