The Pontiac G8 is a full-size sedan derived from Holden VE Commodore and assembled by the GM subsidiary Holden in Australia. Replacing the Grand Prix, the G8 is Pontiac's largest sedan. In contrast to its predecessor, it rides on a rear-wheel-drive platform, featuring a MacPherson strut setup in front and a four-link suspension in the rear. Power comes from a choice of V6 and V8 engines, coupled to automatic transmissions only.

The ride is comfortable at all times, and firm when you need it to be. The handling is precise and up to the task of hard cornering. Its styling is muscular and smooth, and it's roomy inside."—JB car pagesJB car pages: 2008 Pontiac G8 Review
