Career
Polly Bergen first had her taste of show biz at the age of 14, she worked as a radio perfromer. in Los Angeles. She performed slapstick comedy with Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis in the early 1950s. In 1956 she signed on to the game show To Tell The Truth for five seasons. Bergen received her own variety show called The Polly Bergen Show in 1957. She continued making movies with stars like Joan Crawford, Doris Day, James Garner, Robert Mitchum and many more before taking a three-decade absence. Bergen returned to singing and acting in 1999 and today is a recurring guest star on the ABC show Desperate HousewivesPartial Filmography
