Pokemon Platinum

Pokemon Platinum is the sequel to Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. Slated for release on March 22, 2009, the game features a new story and some new Pokemon forms.

Like all games in the Pokemon series, Pokemon Platinum is an RPG where players explore the world in order to collect creatures called Pokemon. Each Pokemon has unique powers and strengths, which the player must use to their advantage to battle their way through the game world.

Pokemon Platinum is set in the brand new, "Distortion World," an area where the normal rules of space and time don't exist. In this world players can walk on walls or even upside down and platforms float in mid-air without any support.

The game introduces two new characters, Charon, a new Commander of the villainous Team Galactic and an undercover detective, codenamed Looker, who is in pursuit of Team Galactic. In addition to the new world and story, the game also introduces a new Wi-Fi plaza where up to twenty players can come together to play battles, take part in parades and view fireworks shows.

In addition the game features a new Battle Frontier, where players can test their skill as Pokemon trainers in a variety of challenges and minigames.Pokemon Platinum Central: Pokemon Platinum Press Release
