If players are defeated during dungeon missions in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of the Darkness, they can be rescued by sending an SOS out to other players. SOS calls can be issued in several different ways: Players can exchange passwords manually, they can connect via DS Wireless communications, and they can also reach out to their friends over Nintendo Wi-Fi. On the receiving end, players can be alerted of their friends' new SOS calls via e-mail and cell phone text messaging.
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of the Darkness and Explorers of Time are two sister RPG games made for the Nintendo DS. Both are single player games, but involves communicating with other remote players for assistance.
