Pokemon Crater was an online Pokemon battle arena that allowed users to sign up for a free account, acquire Pokemon, and battle with them over the internet. Pokemon Crater ceased operation on December 1, 2007, when the site's creator, "Aaron," decided that he could no longer devote the time necessary to run it (see statement below).

- Began with "starter Pokemon," then captured and collected others
- Shiny Pokemon: 25% more HP
- Dark Pokemon: 25% more damage
- Metallic Pokemon: Could not be affected by status effects
- Ghostly Pokemon: Had chance to scare enemy Pokemon when attacking
- Took a lot of time to get on the top trainers list
