Plums ripen from May through October, and present a broad spectrum of colors, from translucent yellow, green and light red to fruits so dark purple they are almost black. Plums are high in Vitamin C, and while can be eaten out of hand, they also find themselves being made into jam or dried to made fiber rich prunes regularly.
