Emmy Award winning television mini-series, Planet Earth found filmmakers visiting 204 different locations in 62 countries in an attempt to produce "the definitive look at the diversity of our planet."
Over five years of filming and a budget of roughly $25 million went into producing the eleven-part BBC nature documentary series. Many events such as crab-eating macaques swimming underwater, snow leopards hunting in the mountains and grizzly bear cubs venturing from the den for their first time had never before been captured on film.
