The pilot has been identified as Joseph Andrew Stack. According to several reports, Stack set fire to his own home shortly before taking off in the plane, which was a Cirrus SR22, and local NTSB authorities would only suggest that the crash appeared intentional in nature. The building houses offices for both the IRS and the CIA.
