Pizza Hut is an international chain of pizza restaurant franchises. It is the world's largest pizza chain, and specializes in personal and "pan" pizzas, which comes with a thicker crust. They also serve pasta, breadsticks and buffalo wings. Pizza Hut is owned by the Pepsi subsidiary Yum! Brands, Inc., which also owns Kentucky Fried Chicken and Taco Bell. The company has restaurants all over North America and in countries around the world such as the United Kingdom, Costa Rica, and southeast Asia.

Brothers Dan and Frank Carney founded Pizza Hut in 1958 in Wichita, Kansas on a suggestion from a friend to open a pizza parlor. They borrowed $600 from their mother and started the business with partner John Bender. The restaurant has grown to a chain with over 30,000 employees.

Pizza Hut has expanded its menu in order to compete with other chains. They added an entire pasta section to their menus, built new buildings in a different style than the traditional hut style, and advertised their restaurant as a pasta house. Pizza Hut also features buffalo wings and breadsticks.

Pizza Hut has frequently had endorsements from celebrities, including commercials featuring Donald Trump, Ringo Starr, Rush Limbaugh and Jessica Simpson. Prominent product placement appeared in Back to the Future Part II, when the McFly family quickly heats up a Pizza Hut pizza that comes in a small silver package.
