Piper Laurie

During an acting career that has spanned nearly five decades, Piper Laurie has appeared in dozens of film and television roles. She earned an Emmy Award in 1986 for her role in the CBS television movie Promise and earned Oscar nominations for her roles in Children of a Lesser God, Carrie and The Hustler. More recently, Laurie appeared on the television series Twin Peaks and in the 2007 drama film Hounddog.
