The children's story Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi is a classic and has inspired various other works.
A graphic novel partly based on the book will be published in September 2009. The graphic novel is titled Pinocchio, Vampire Slayer and offers an unofficial alternative version of the traditional story. In it, the boy Pinocchio remains a wooden puppet and battles vampires with his wooden nose.http://slg-news.livejournal.com/345996.html
