Pinkberry is a frozen yogurt chain which first opened in West Hollywood in 2005. The chain offers three flavors: Plain, Green Tea and Coffee. Fruit, candy or nuts are available as toppings. The original marketing for the brand inferred that the product was all natural, although the company did not initially disclose the ingredients of its product. In 2007, a class-action lawsuit was brought against Pinkberry alleging that the company was using deceptive marketing. Soon after, Pinkberry posted all 23 ingredients on their official site, including three kinds of sugar and various emulsifiers.

Ingredients in the Plain Pinkberry frozen yogurt are: Skim milk, nonfat yogurt with live and active cultures, sucrose, fructose, dextrose, nonfat dry milk, nonfat dry yogurt, citric acid, maltodextrin, mono-and diglycerides, sodium citrate, sodium acid pyrophosphate, magnesium oxide, lactoglycerides, propylene glycol esters, guar gum, calcium fumarate, soy lecithin, starch, added color, yellow 5 lake, natural and artificial flavors, ascorbic acid and tocopherol (to maintain freshness). -
