Pink Flamingos is a 1972 cult film by director John Waters, and featuring his Dreamland Studios acting troupe, including Divine, Edith Massey, Mary Vivian Pierce, and Mink Stole.
The Film
Babs Johnson (Divine) lives in a Baltimore trailer with her mother, her son and her girlfriend. After a tabloid names them as "the filthiest people alive," they encounter competition for the title.
Notoriety
The final scene of the film hits an unrivaled peak of sorts in featuring a continuous shot of a dog defecating and Divine eating the product. The film was banned in several countries for that and similar reasons.
