Pimp C was the stage name of Chad Butler, a southern styler rapper who was part of the group UGK with rapper Bun B. Pimp C helped a variety of other artists during his career including Webbie and Lil Boosie. Pimp C and partner Bun B co- owned Trill Entertainment. Pimp C was found dead in his California hotel room on December 4, 2007. The cause of death was an accidental overdose of Promethazine/Codeine syrup in conjunction with sleep apnea. He was released from prison in 2005 for an aggravated gun assault charge that stemmed from a 2002 incident.
