A pill box is a special container that is used to hold pills such as medications or vitamins. Most are designed to organize pill taking by day of the week to make it easier to remember what pills should be taken when. Pill boxes help people with multiple pills to organize their regimens. The boxes usually have easy open compartments, so should be kept away from children and pets.
Deluxe Pill Boxes
Basic pill boxes are organized by the day of the week, some have two compartments for each day to allow divisions for pills taken at different times of the day. Other more expensive and deluxe models have a computer built in that offers more elaborate features such as an electronic alarm to remind one to take one's pills, or the ability to record when a pill was last taken. If the pill taker is forgetful, or if something happens to them, it can be medically important to have the information of when they last took a certain medication. Some pill boxes have enough room for an entire month's worth of pills.
