Pictionary is a word guessing, multi-player board game, where the object is to guess a specific word based on your team member's ability to sketch a drawing.
The game is fast paced and so the sketches are even quicker. At the start of the game the player will need to have enough of a sketch drawn that it will get your team mates guessing. You can continue to draw and add detail so that the guessers will be pulled into the right direction of what the drawing team member is trying to convey. Calling out the guesses will add to the fun as there is no telling what others see in that hastily drawn picture.
Pictionary is a Hasbro game that is for ages eighteen and up. The game can be played by teams made up with as many players as you would like. With each person calling out their guess it will create a lively gaming situation.
How to Play
To begin the game the players are broken into teams.
Once the teams have been decided then one team will elect to go first as the drawing team. This will rotate each turn and everyone on the team must have a turn drawing before anyone can draw a second time.
The person that is the allotted as the first artist will draw a card from the deck. The timer will be started at this point and the sketcher will begin to sketch a picture that will explain the word that is written on the card that was chosen from the deck. There can be no letters or numbers in any picture that is drawn.
The guessing team will then call out what they assume the card said and the word that the drawing was describing.
When a team guesses the word correctly, they roll the dice and move their game piece that many spaces on the board. The dice is only rolled if they guess the word before the timer is finished. Play continues until the first team makes it through the board.
