Pico de gallo is a fresh, uncooked Mexican condiment made with diced tomatoes, onions, cilantro, serrano or jalapenos chile peppers, and lime juice. Avocados, cucumbers, and radishes are sometimes added as well.
It is a vegetable based mixture, similar to salsa, relish, and chutney, and is used as a side dish or a main ingredient in tacos, fajitas, and burritos.
