Photo Editing Programs
A variety of programs have been produced for editing digital photos. There are freeware programs that have varying abilities for editing, online programs such as SumoPaint and commercial programs such as Adobe Photoshop. There is a review of free photo editing software and there are links, blogs, video tutorials and current news on reviews of photo editing software, including free software, such as GIMP, Picasa and commercial programs used for photo editing today.

Free Photo Editing Software
- GIMP - has PC and Mac versions, has similar functionality and appearance to Adobe Photoshop without the huge pricetag.
- Photoscape -For the Mac and PC, this program has many features and is easy to learn and use. - Paint.net - PC version only, an extensive list of capabiliities and tutorials are listed on the wikibooks site for Paint.net
- Picasa - from Google, PC, Linux and Mac (Intel CPU). Works on your computer and on the web. Creates photo albums for photo sharing. Photo retouching, free-form collages, works well with iPhoto, soft focus, good file management features. A Good Quick Review of Avaialble Photo Editing Software

PIcasa from Google
PIcasa from Google has both online and computer versions for both PC and Mac. It does all of the normal things such as color adjustments, red eye elimination, and photo retouching. It also supports the making of creative collages and can work with large libraries, making image management easier for your style of photo filing. It is free and worth a try.
