On Thursday, April 7, 2008, New York police confiscated the largest number of counterfeit goods in history, including 50,000 pairs of fake Nike sneakers.
Previously, Phony Nike Sneakers were confiscated in Queens, Brooklyn, and Staten Island after a husband and wife sold undercover officers 160,000 pairs of Nike knockoffs with a $7 million dollar value on September 12, 2007.
