Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney is an adventure game released by Capcom. It was originally released for the Game Boy Advance before being re-released for the Nintendo DS. Walkthrough Introduction

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney is an adventure game that was developed and released by Capcom. You play the role of defense attorney Phoenix Wright as he finds clues about the cases he is assigned for, and questions the witnesses in court.

This guide will provide step-by-step instructions on how to progress the story. It will describe what clues to find, how to question the witnesses in court, and finding false statements. Since story plays a major role in the game, story details will be left out of the walkthrough as much as possible in order to avoid spoilers.

General Tips

During the investigation sequences it is a good idea to examine any item to see on screen. You never know what items could be important for the story.
During investigation, talk to every person you see about any category that comes up. They usually provide clues on what you need to find or what you need to present to them.
If you are unsure that you need to present an item to a person, try present them anyway.
If you have difficulty finding contradictions during the cross-examinations, press all the statements the witnesses say. You may find contradictions that you would not have found otherwise.
When presenting evidence, check your court records carefully to make sure that they are relevant to the events that are happening at that point in the story. If you present the wrong evidence, you will be penalized.
If you get penalized 5 times during any trial, your client will be declared Guilty which is the game's equivalent of a Game Over.
If you received any penalties during any trial, they will be removed when the trial is done for that day.

Chapter 1: The First Turnabout

When you start, you will converse with Mia Fey and Larry Butz.
You will then appear in court. The judge will ask you three questions. Answer the first question with Larry Butz, the second with Cindy Stone, and the third with Hit By a Blunt Object.
In the following dialogue, a statue and a passport will be added to your court record.
You will be given two choices: “Wait and see what happens” and “Stop him from answering.” The outcome is the same regardless of what you choose.
You will then be given another set of choices: “Have him answer honestly” and “Stop him from answering.” The outcome is the same either way.
The prosecutor will call up a witness named Frank Sahwit. This will begin the testimony. You will receive a blackout record during the testimony.
After the testimony, you will begin the cross-examination. At the statement “I will remember the time exactly: it was 1:00PM” present Cindy’s Autopsy Report.
Sahwit will present another testimony. During the cross-examination, present the Blackout Record at the statement “There was a voice saying the time… It was probably coming from the television.”
There will be another testimony. During the cross-examination, present the Statue at the statement “Yeah, the murder weapon! The killer used it to hit the victim!”
When the judge asks if there is a problem with the testimony, answer Yes.
You will be presented with two choices: “Went into the apartment” and “Knew the victim.” Choose the first choice.
After the following dialogue, three choices will appear: “Examine the clock’s batteries,” “Ask the neighbors,” and “Try sounding the clock.” Choose the third option.
Mia will give you a Yes or No question. Answer yes.
When asked to present the evidence, present the Passport.
After the case, present the Statue to Larry.

Episode 2: Turnabout Sisters

Investigation: Day One

When you start, choose the move option. Then move to the office.
Examine Maya’s body and you will put The Thinker, Glass Shards, and Receipt in your court records.
During the examination, move the screen right. Then examine the desk.
End the examination. Then move to the Fey & Co. Law Offices.
Present the receipt to Maya.
When you get to the detention center, you will talk to Maya. You will be given three choices: “It’s up to you,” “Of course I will” and “Sorry, not a chance.” The outcome is the same regardless of what you choose.
Choose the Talk option when it shows up. Talk to Maya about herself and the day of the crime. Then talk to her about her cell phone and you will receive Maya’s Memo.
Talk to her about the day of the crime once again then talk about spirit mediums.
After choosing all the conversation options, you will be give two options: “Accept” and “Refuse.” The outcome is the same either way.
Move to the Fey & Co. Law Offices. During the following conversation, you will see three options: “Detective Gumshoe,” “Detective Suedeshoes,” and “Detective Gumtree.” Choose the first option.
Talk to Gumshoe about Mia and you will get Mia’s Autopsy Report.
Then talk to Gumshoe about Maya and Edgeworth. When you talk about Edgeworth, you will see two options: “Of course I do” and “No I don’t.” The outcome is the same either way.
Present Maya’s Memo to Gumshoe. You will get two option: “Tell him straight,” and “Tell him not-so-straight.” Whatever you choose, you will get Maya’s Cell Phone.
When you finish talking to Gumshoe, move to the Gatewater Hotel.
Examine the open drawer on the left side of the screen.
Then talk to April May about what she witnessed, Miss May, then about the hotel room.
Move back to the Grossberg Law Offices. Talk to Grossberg about his refusal, Mia, and the painting.
Go back to the detention center. Talk to Maya about her family, her mother, and her mother’s enemy.
After the conversations, you will be given two options: “Go home,” and “Defend Maya.” Choose the second option.
You will then be given three options: “I can’t abandon you,” “Someone else is the culprit,” and “I don’t know.” The outcome is the same regardless of what you choose.
Go back to the Gatewater Hotel. The wiretap will be added to the court records.

Courtroom: Day One

You will be in trial. When Gumshoe makes his statement, the floor plans will be added to the court records.
Gumshoe will give his testimony. During the cross-examination, press Gumshoe on the statement “Why? We had a witness account describing her.”
Gumshoe will give a second testimony. During the cross-examination, present Mia’s Autopsy Report during the statement, “Before she died, the victim wrote the killer’s name.”
In the following dialogue, you will be give three choices: “The day of the murder,” “The day after the murder,” and “I forget.” Choose the second option.
You will get another three options: “You’re a sham, Edgeworth!”, “The detective’s a sham!”, and “I’m a sham!” Whichever option you choose, the outcome will be the same. The autopsy report will then be updated.
April May will give her testimony. After the testimony, you will be give two choices: “Yes, I’m doing it” and “No thanks.” Choose the first option.
During the cross-examination, press May at the statement “The one attacking was the mousey girl sitting at the defendant’s chair.”
You will then be given two choices: “Yes, he’s right” and “I question the testimony.” Choose the second option.
There will be two more choices: “You saw nothing” and “You’re lying.” Choose the second option.
May will give a second testimony. During the cross-examination, present The Thinker at the statement “That… that clock! Um… the kinda statue-y clock? “The Thinker,” I think?”
During the following dialogue, you will be give two choices: “She couldn’t have heard it” and “It couldn’t have rung.” Choose the second option.
You will then be presented with three more choices: “It’s empty,” “It’s broken,” and “The batteries are dead.” Choose the first option.
When prompted to present evidence, present Maya’s Cell Phone.
You will be presented with a Yes or No question. Answer Yes.
You will prompted to present evidence again. Present The Thinker.
In the following dialogue, you will be given two choices: “You held it” and “You had heard about it.” Choose the second option.
When prompted to present evidence, present the Wiretap.
The second time you have to present evidence, present Maya’s Cell Phone.
You will then be presented with two choices: “You did it, didn’t you?” and “Why the wiretap?” The events will be the same in either option.
You will be presented with another two choices: “Call the bellboy as a witness” and “Continue examining Miss May.” The results will be the same either way.
If you chose the first option, you will be presented with two options: “Accept the condition” and “Give up.” Choose the first option.
The bellboy will give his testimony. Press him on all statements.
You will be given two choices: “Protest,” and “Give up.” Choose the first option.
You will then be give three choices: “Check-in,” “Room service,” and “Bed making.” Choose the second option.
Within the following dialoge, you will be give three more choices: “Miss April May,” “The man with Miss May,” and “The Bellboy.”
The court will be adjourned and May Testimony will be added to the court records.

Investigation: Day Two

You will be in the detention center. Ask May about that man, the wiretap, and her attitude.
Move to the Grossberg Law Offices. Examine the photos on the desk.
You will be given three choices: “DL6 Incident – Exhibit A,” “DL6 Incident – Exhibit B,” and “Leave them alone.” Choose the second option and the Photograph will be added to the court records.
Move to the Gatewater Hotel. Talk to the bellboy about Miss May, the man with May, and the hotel.
Present the Photograph to the bellboy. You will be given two choices: “Have him write it,” and “Turn him down.” Choose the first option and Bellboy’s Affidavit will be added to the court records.
Go back to the detention center. Present the photograph to May. The present the Bellboy’s Affidavit.
You will be given two choices: “Ease her fears” and “Push her hard.” Choose the second option. After the dialogue, you will then discard the affidavit.
Move to Bluecorp. Talk to White about Miss May, the night of the murder, and Bluecorp.
Ask about the painting. You will be given three choices: “It’s gorgeous,” “I’ve seen it before,” and “Where did you get it?” Choose either the second or third options.
Go back to Grossberg Law Offices. Talk to him about today’s trial, his refusal, and Mr. White.
When talking to Grossberg about Mr. White, you will be given three choices: “That big painting,” “That photo of Mr. White,” and “Why Wouldn’t You Defend Maya?” Choose the first option.
You will be given the next set of options: “He’s giving you information,” “He’s blackmailing you,” and “You’re lovers.” Choose the second option.
Talk to Grossberg about the DL6 incident, and the reason for blackmail.
Move to the Fey & Co. Law Offices. Examine the bookshelf to find three choices: “Files A-I,” “Files J-S,” and “Files T-Z.” Choose the second option and you will get a Newspaper Clipping.
Go back to Bluecorp. Present the Newspaper Clipping to White.
You will be presented with three option: “You bribed him,” “You spied on him,” and “You blackmailed him.” Choose the third option.
You will be given two more choices: “You’re right” and “You’re wrong.” The results are the same either choice.
You will be back in the detention center. In the ensuing dialogue, you will be given three choices: “Defend me in court,” “Cheer me on in court,” and “Help me break out of here.” The results will be same whichever option you choose.

Courtroom: Day Two

When the trial begins, you will have a choice between “Objection” and “Let it go.” The results will be the same either way.
White will start giving his testimony. During the cross-examination, present the May Testimony during the statement “The victim ran to the left, and you gave chase.”
In the following questions, you will have three answers: “Mr. White is right,” “Miss May is right,” and “Both are right.” Choose the third option.
When the floor plans show up, point at the K circle. The press Present.
White will give a second testimony. At the cross-examination, present Mia’s Autopsy Report at the statement “You chased her, and delivered the final blow.”
White will give a third testimony. At the cross-examination, press him on the very first statement. When you are given two choices, choose the first choice.
At revised first statement, present the Glass Shards. When you see two options: “No problemo” and “Big problemo,” choose the second option.
When prompted to present evidence, present the floor plans.
White will give a fourth testimony. Press him on all statements. In the following dialogue, the receipt will be updated in the court records.
At the cross-examination, present the receipt at the first statement.
When you choose between “Objection” and “Wait and see what happens” choose either choice. You will receive Mia’s Memo.
When prompted to present evidence, present Mia’s Memo.

Episode 3: Turnabout Samurai

Investigation: Day One

The first action to take in this episode is to move to the detention center.
Talk to Will Powers about what happened and Powers’ alibi. Then move to Studio – Main Gate.
Talk to Wendy Oldbag about the studios, Will Powers, Mr. Hammer, and the reason for suspicion.
Move back to the detention center. Talk to Powers about his abili, and the security lady. You will receive Powers’ Letter.
Go back to the studio gate and present Powers’ Letter to Oldbag. You will receive a Guide Map.
Move to Outside Studio One. Talk to Gumshoe about the investigation to get Jack’s Autopsy Report.
Then talk to Gumshoe about the security lady and the decisive evidence.
Go back to the main gate and move to the Employee Area. Then move into the Dressing Room.
Examine the bag on the floor to receive a Cardkey.
Go back to the outside of Studio One. Then examine the gate to use the cardkey. Go to Inside Studio One.
Examine the camera. Then talk to Penny Nichols about Will Powers. Then go back to the main gate.
Talk to Oldbag about the assistant’s claim. When she leaves, examine the computer. When you are given the option to “Try it” or “Leave it alone,” choose the first option. When you have to input the camera number, choose the second option. You will get Powers’(?) Photo.

Courtroom: Day One

After Gumshoe’s statement, you will have a choice between “Skip it” or “Listen again.” Choose the first option. You will then get the Samurai Spear for the court records.
Oldbag will give her testimony. During the cross-examination, present the photo during the statement “It was Powers! That man sitting right there, and he was heading toward the studio!”
Oldbag will give a second testimony. During the cross-examination, press Oldbag at the statement “He broke one of the props, it was a big mess.” The Samurai Spear will be updated in the records. Press the rest of the statements to move the story forward.
In the following dialogue, you will have two choices: “Object” and “Wait and see what happens.” Choose either option.
Oldbag will give a third testimony. Present the photograph at the statement “If they had, I would have seen them.”
Oldbag will give a fourth testimony. Press Oldbag during the statement “Come to think of it, now I remember throwing out one photo that day!”
After the recess, you will have three choices: “The assistant girl,” “The grade-school boy,” and “The security lady.” Choose the third option.
You will then get a choice between “Press further” and “Give granny a break.” Choose the first option.
When prompted to present evidence, present the Samurai Spear.
Oldbag will give another testimony. After pressing her statements in the cross-examination, you will be given a choice between “Continue cross-examination,” and “Let’s take a break.” Choose the second option.

Investigation: Day Two

Go to the detention center. Then talk to Powers about the fanboy and the director.
Go back to studio’s main gate. Then go to the Employee Area.
After talking with Penny, examine the vent near the floor. When given a choice to “Rip it open” or “Leave it alone,” choose the first choice.
Go back to the main gate. Talk to Penny about the studios, the fanboy, and the director.
Go to the outside of Studio One. You now have access to Studio Two so head there.
You should be hearing noises from inside the trailer. Go back to the dressing room.
Talk to Sal Manella about the day of the crime. Then talk about the producer and the bigwigs.
Go back to the main gate to meet Oldbag. Then go back to the Employee Area to meet Cody Hackins.
Talk to Cody about the Steel Samurai and what happened that day. A bottle will be added to the court records.
Go back to the main gate and examine the guard station. Trailer Key will be added to the court records.
Go back to Studio Two and examine the trailer door. Go inside the trailer.
Talk to Dee Vasquez about the day of the murder, the Steel Samurai, and the director. You will receive Vasquez’s Memo.
Go back to the dressing room and present the memo to Manella.
Then head to the inside of Studio One and examine the director’s chair. The Script will be added to the court records.
Head back to the trailer and present the script to Vasquez.
Talk to Vasquez about the blocked path. You will be moved outside of Studio One. Then Mr. Monkey’s Head will be added to the court records.
Head to the Wright & Co. Law Offices.
After the discussion with Mia, head back to the front gate. Talk to Oldbag about the hostage.
Present the cardkey to Oldbag. You will have two options: “Keep the cardkey” and “Lend her the cardkey.” Choose the second option. You will get Steel Samurai Cards.
Head to the Employee Area. Cody will run into the Dressing Room. Follow him there.
Present the Steel Samurai cards to Cody.
Head back to the Studio Two trailer and talk with Penny about the fanboy, Mr. Hammer, and what happened.
Present the Steel Samurai cards to Penny. When given the options “Trade” and “Don’t trade,” choose the first option. You will get the URP Card.
Head back to the dressing room and present the URP card to Cody.
Talk to Cody about The Steel Samurai. You will see three options: “His kind nature,” “His fighting skills,” and “Will Powers’ acting.” Choose the second option. You will receive the “Path to Glory.”
Then talk to Cody about what happened. That talk about what he saw.
In the following dialogue, you will get two choices: “I believe” and “I don’t know.” The results are the same either way.

Courtroom: Day Two

Sal Manella will give his testimony. During the cross-examination, press Manella at the statement “But I had a meeting at the Studio Two trailer, so I ended up skipping lunch.” You will get three options: “Not at all,” “It’s a little vague,” and “It’s contradictory.” Choose the third option.
Press Manella during the statement “During the meeting, well, I’m pretty sure no one left their chairs.” You will see two options: “Press harder” and “Leave him be.” Choose the first option.
Manella will give a second testimony. At the cross-examination, press Manella during the statement “Yeah, FWIW, we took a break… ROFL!”
Then press Manella at the statement “Not enough time for someone to, say, commit murder in Studio One! LOL!” You will be given two options: “I claim it, and claim it loud” and “No, it’s impossible.” Choose the second option.
After the recess, Cody’s Camera will be added to the court records.
Cody will give his testimony. At the cross-examination, present the camera during the statement “If I had my camera with me, that would have been the time for the shot, I tell you.”
Cody will give his second testimony. During the cross-examination, press Cody at the statement “Then…then the bad guy stopped moving.” You will be given two choices: “Wait and see what happens” and “Press him harder.” Choose the second option.
You will then be given three options: “He couldn’t watch it,” “He was watching something else,” and “Show evidence.” Choose the last option.
Cody will give his third testimony. At the cross-examination, press him at the statement “Th-that’s all that happened. Yup.” You will have a choice between “Press him hard” and “Let it slide.” Choose the first option.
At the statement “I took a few shots, but it was too late, so I erased them,” present the “Path to Glory.” You will be given three choices: “The photos were blurry,” “He erased them by mistake,” and “The Steel Samurai didn’t win.” Choose the third option.
You will get three more options: “Hammer was the victim,” “Steel Samurai was the victim,” and “There was no victim.” Choose the second option.
You will be prompted to show present an inconsistency in a photo. Point at the 2 in the top right corner and present it.
When you are prompted to present a spot on the Guide Map, point at Studio Two and present it.
You will be given three choices: “The trailer is there,” “The path was blocked,” and “No filming is done there.”
After the long dialogue, you will be given two choices: “I have proof” and “I don’t have proof.” Choose the first choice and present the empty bottle.
Three more choices will appear: “Test Powers’ blood,” “Fingerprint the bottle,” and “Examine Hammer’s body.” Choose the second choice.

Investigation: Day Three

Go to the Detention Center. Talk to Powers about Vasquez, Manella, and Hammer.
Head for the main gate and talk to Oldbag about Vasquez, Manella, and Hammer.
Move to the Employee Area. Talk to Gumshoe about the plate and the Steak Plate will be added to the court records. Then talk about Edgeworth and the Sleeping Pill Bottle will be re-added to the records.
Go into the dressing room. Talk to Penny about Mr. Hammer, the last episode, and the studio’s policy.
When talking about studio policy, present the “Path to Glory.” Then talk about five years ago.
Head back to the main gate. Talk to Oldbag about five years ago.
You will see two choices: “I have proof” and “I don’t have proof.” Choose the first option.
When prompted to present evidence, present the steak plate.
You will be asked to show another piece of evidence. Present the sleeping pill bottle. You will get the Five-Year-Old Photo.
Head to the outside of Studio Two. Present the five-year-old photo to Vasquez. Then move into the trailer.

Courtroom: Day Three

Vasquez will give her testimony. The Van will be added to the court records.
Present the steak plate at the statement “Sal and I ate t-bone steaks on the table in front of the trailer.”
You will see three options: “You ate the bone, too,” “You ate a boneless steak,” and “You didn’t eat the steak.” Choose the third option.
Two more options will be presented: “Meeting the Steel Samurai,” and “Picking on Sal Manella.” Choose the first option.
In the following dialogue, you will see three choices: “I think you could!” “You couldn’t, could you?” and “I don’t know.” Choose the second option.
You will be prompted to present evidence. Present the Samurai Spear.
You will be presented with two options: “I can tell you,” and “I can’t tell you.” Choose the first option.
When asked to present evidence, present the five-year-old photo.
There will be three options: “She couldn’t deal with it,” “I bet she could move it,” and “She had another way.” Choose the third option.
When asked to present evidence, present the van.
Two more choices will appear: “Of course he was” and “Of course he wasn’t.” Choose the first option.
After the long dialogue, three more options will be presented: “You did it, Vasquez,” “Testify again, Vasquez,” and “No further questions, Vasquez.” Choose the second option.
Vasquez will give a second testimony. During the cross-examination, press Vasquez at the statement “I went back to the trailer to get my script and direction notes.”
When you get a choice between “Press harder” and “Back off,” choose the first choice.
At the statement “I knew that Hammer was injured and couldn’t do any action scenes, so I left them behind,” present Powers’(?) Photo.
You will then choose between “You misheard Mr. Manella wrong” and “You saw Hammer limping.” Choose the second choose.
Two more choices will appear: “Of course I can prove it” and “Of course I can’t prove it.” Choose the first option.
When asked to present evidence, present the five-year-old photo.
When prompted to choose between “Reveal evidence” and “She had no motive,” choose the second option.
Two more choices will appear: “I don’t know” and “Show evidence.” Choose the second option.
When prompted to show evidence, present Powers’(?) photo.

Chapter 4: Turnabout Goodbyes

Investigation: Day One

Move to the detention center. Talk to Edgeworth about what happened and about Gourd Lake.
Present the attorney’s badge to Edgeworth. Then talk to him about if he did it.
Head for the Gourd Lake Entrance. Talk to Gumshoe about what happened and the witness.
You will get two options: “The autopsy report” and “How to get in touch with you.” The results will be the same either way.
Head for the Gourd Lake Public Beach. Examine the item on the bench.
You will choose between “Take it” or “Leave it.” Choose the first option. Popper will be added to the court records.
Move to the Gourd Lake Woods. Switch the screen to the left and examine the camera.
Present the attorney badge to Lotta Hart. Talk to Lotta about what happened, and the camera. Lotta’s Camera will be added to the records.
Present the camera to Lotta. Then head for the Criminal Affairs Dept.
Talk to Gumshoe about the victim and the meeting. Then talk about trusting Edgeworth and the autopsy report. The Autopsy Report will be added to the records.
Head back to the Gourd Lake woods. You will get two choices: “I reckon so” and “I reckon no.” The results are the same either way. The Lake Photo will be added to the records.
Move back to the beach. Talk to Larry about what happened and then about Edgeworth.
Then talk to Larry about Samurai dogs and then about Gourdy. You will receive the Gourdy Article.
Head back to the Wright & Co. Law Offices. Then move to the Grossberg Law Offices.
Present the autopsy report to Grossberg. Then talk to him about Robert Hammond.
Talk to Grossberg about the DL6 incident. Misty Fey’s Photo will be added to the records.
Go to the detention center. Present Misty Fey’s photo to Edgeworth.
Talk to Edgeworth about the DL6 incident. Then talk about the suspect and his father.
Present the lake photo to Edgeworth. You will choose between “Of course we will” and “Of course we won’t.” Choose the first option and you will receive Edgeworth’s Request.
Head to the Criminal Affairs Office. Present Edgeworth’s request to Gumshoe.

Courtroom: Day One

When the trial starts, the Overhead Map will be added to the records.
Gumshoe will give his testimony. At the cross-examination, press Gumshoe at the statement “But… the next morning, a body was found at the lake.” The Pistol Bullet will be added to the records.
Press Gumshoe at the statement “So we had to arrest Mr. Edgeworth.” Then press him at the statement “The murder weapon we found in the boat was decisive evidence.” The Pistol will be added to the records.
During the recess, there will be two options: “No, I need you here” and “Yeah, you’re useless.” Choose the first option.
Lotta Hart will give her testimony. When given a choice between “I think there was” and “I think there wasn’t,” choose the first option.
During the cross-examination, press Lotta on all statements except for the first one. If you see the options “Press further” and “Let it slide,” choose the first option.
You will then choose between “Wrong” and “Right.” Choose the first choice.
Lotta Hart will give her new testimony. She only has one statement. Present the lake photo.
Lotta will give a third testimony. In the cross-examination, press the statement “Still, I brought my binoculars with me.” When asked to choose between “Press further” and “Back off,” choose the first option.
On the statement “The camera was set up to take pictures of a meteor shower,” present Lotta’s camera.
When asked to choose between “Show evidence” and “I don’t know,” choose the first option. Then present the Gourdy article.
You will then choose between “I don’t have proof” and “I have proof.” Choose the second option. Then present Lotta’s camera.
Lotta will give a fourth testimony. During the cross-examination, present the Gourdy Article at the statement “There wasn’t much else to look at, so I just watched tate boat the whole time.”
After the long dialogue, you will see two choices: “Make her show the enlargement” and “Wait and see what happens.” Choose the first option. The Lake Photo will be upgraded in the records.
Three more choices will appear: “Object to the enlargement,” “Show more evidence,” and “Wait and see.” Choose the first option.
When asked to point at the photo, point at the hand holding the gun and present it.
You will be prompted to present evidence. Present the Pistol.
When given three choices between “Ms. Hart,” “The victim himself,” and “Larry,” choose the second option. The Autopsy Report will be updated in the records.

Head back to the Gourd Lake woods. Talk to Gumshoe about Maya.
Go back to the detention center. Then head back to the Gourd Lake entrance.
Talk to Lotta about making it up. When asked to choose between “Deal” or “No deal,” choose the first choice.
Head for the beach. Talk to Larry about Edgeworth and the big samurai.
Go to the Criminal Affairs Dept. Talk to Gumshoe about the investigation and then about Gourdy.
Talk to Gumshoe about the secret weapons. You will choose between Missile, the fishing pole, and the metal detector. Choose the third option.
Head for the Boat Rental Shop. You will find an Air Tank.
Head back to the beach and present the Air Tank to Larry. You will choose between “Have you seen it before?” and “Is it yours?” Choose the second option.
When prompted to choose between “To inflate something” and “To go diving.” Choose the first choice.
You will then choose between “Put the tank away” and “Ask more about the tank.” Choose the second choice.
Talk to Larry about the flying air tank.
Go to the Gourd Lake woods. Talk to Lotta about Gourdy. When given the three choices: “Nothing yet,” “We found him,” and “Gourdy doesn’t exist, choose either the second or third choices.
If you chose the second option, you will choose between “I have proof” and “I don’t have proof.” If you chose the third option, you will choose between “Is here” and “Is out there somewhere.” In either option, choose the first choice.
When prompted to present evidence, present the air tank.
Talk to Lotta about the information. You will be given a Second Lake Photo.
Go back to the rental shop. Then enter the Caretaker’s Shack.
Present the attorney’s badge to the uncle. You will choose between “Promise to run the Noodle” and “We can’t promise that.” Choose the first option.
Present the lake photo to the uncle.
Examine the parrot and Parrot will be added to the court records.
Talk to the uncle about Polly and what he saw.
Head to the Criminal Affairs Dept. Then talk to Gumshoe about the boat caretaker and the DL6 incident.
Present the parrot to Gumshoe. Then move to the Records Room.
Talk to Maya about the case summary, the victim data, and the suspect data. You will get a DL-6 Case File and a DL-6 Incident Photo.

Courtroom: Day Two

When you are given an option between “Raise an objection” and “Let it slide,” choose either option.
When you are given a choice between “Cross-examine” and “Don’t cross-examine,” choose the first option.
The uncle will give his testimony. When you get to the cross-examination, press him at the statement “Just about then the boat comes back to shore, and a man walks by my window.”
Press him again at the statement “That man was the defendant… he was saying “I can’t believe he’s dead.””
When you get to choose between “Raise an objection” and “Wait and see what happens,” choose the second option.
Larry will give his testimony. At the cross-examination, present Lotta’s Deposition at the statement “So after I heard that single gunshot, I went home.”
You will be given two choices: “That’s enough” and “Continue.” Choose the second choice.
Larry will give his second testimony. At the cross-examination, press Larry during the statement “I remember exactly what the DJ was saying when I heard it, too.”
When asked to choose between “We don’t care” and “We should care,” choose the second choice.
At the statement “Just when she said “Hey! It’s almost Christmas!” I heard the gunshot!” present Lotta’s Deposition.
When you need to choose between “Larry’s wrong” and “Larry’s right,” choose the second option.
When prompted to present evidence, present the second lake photo.
You will be asked to present another piece of evidence. Present the pistol.
You will then get three choices: “The murderer and Hammond,” “Edgeworth and the murderer,” and “Edgeworth and Hammond.” Choose the second option.
Another three choices will appear: “Miles Edgeworth,” “Lotta Hart,” and “I don’t know.” Choose the third option.
When asked to present the Overhead Map, point at the boat shop and present it.
When asked to choose between “Miles Edgeworth” and “The boat shop caretaker,” choose the second option.
You will then be asked to choose between “Because the first shot missed,” and “To create a witness.” Choose the second option.

Investigation: Day Three

Talk to Larry about Edgeworth, the class trial, and Edgeworth’s goals.
Go to the boat rental shop and head into the caretaker’s shack. Examine the green box to get the Letter From the Safe.
Head for the detention center. Talk to Edgeworth about prosecution and von Karma.
Present the letter from the safe to Edgeworth. Than talk to him about Yanni Yogi and the nightmare.
Go to the Grossberg Law Offices. Talk to Grossberg about Gregory Edgeworth and the spirit medium.
Present the letter from the safe to Grossberg. You will see three choices: “Miles Edgeworth,” “Yanni Yogi,” and “Manfred von Karma.” Choose the third option.
Then talk to Grossberg about von Karma and Gregory versus Manfred.
Go to the records room and examine the open drawer.
Present the letter from the safe to von Karma. The DL-6 Bullet will be added to the records.

Courtroom: Day Three

The uncle will present his testimony. During the cross-examination, press him at the statement “I figured I got nothing to do with the incident anyhow.”
Then press him at the statement “Er… I mean, I’d need one of those “motive” things, right? And I don’t got one.”
You will be give three options: “Gregory Edgeworth,” “Yanni Yogi,” and “Robert Hammond.” Choose the second option.
After a bit of dialogue, there will be three more options: “Yes, I’m doing it” and “No, maybe not.” Choose the first option.
The parrot will give its testimony. Press it on the statement “Hello! Hello! *squawk*”
You will be given three choices: “Have we forgotten something?” “What’s your name?” and “What’s the safe number?” Choose the first option.
Press the parrot at that statement again. Then choose the second option.
You will then choose between “Of course” and “No it doesn’t.” Choose the first option.
When prompted to present evidence, present the DL-6 Case File.
You will then be presented with three choices: “Case Summary,” “Victim Data,” and “Suspect Data.” Choose the third option.
Press the parrot on the statement once more. Choose the third option.
You will then have to choose between “Actually it does” and “No it doesn’t.” Choose the first option.
When asked to show evidence, present the DL-6 case file again. The same three options from last time will appear. Choose the first option.
After the dialogue, you will choose between “Raise an objection” and “Leave it to Edgeworth.” Choose either option.
Edgeworth will give his testimony. During the cross-examination, present the DL-6 case file during the statement “A moment later, there was a single gunshot, then a scream.”
The three choices from the last time you presented the case file will appear once again. Choose the second choice.
You will be presented with “Yes” or “No.” Choose the first option.
When prompted to present evidence, present the DL-6 incident photo.
When asked to point at the photo, point at the crack in the elevator door and present it.
You will then choose between “No objections” and “I have an objection.” Choose the second option.
You will then choose between “The murderer had to find it” and “The murderer didn’t need it.” Choose the second option.
You will then have an option between “Say it now” and “Save it for a better time.” Choose the first option.
Two more choices will appear: “It’s impossible to prove” and “Show evidence.” Choose the second option.
When asked to present evidence, present the metal detector.
You will be asked to show evidence again. Present the DL-6 bullet.
After the long dialogue, you will have to show evidence. Present the DL-6 bullet.

Chapter 5: Rise From the Ashes

Investigation: Day One

Start the chapter by talking to Ema Skye about herself, the case, scientific investigation, and her relation with Mia.
Go to the detention center. Talk to Lana Skye about the case, the victim, and herself. Then talk to her about her relation with Mia.
Go to the Underground Parking Lot. Examine the wallet near the door and Wallet will be added to the records.
Check the Wallet in the records. Point at the button on the wallet. Then press examine to open the wallet. Goodman’s ID will be added to the records.
Move to the right half of the parking lot. Try to examine something.
Talk to Angel Starr about the case, what she witnessed, herself, and the prosecutor’s office.
Move to the High Prosecutor’s Office. Talk to Edgeworth about himself and the case.
Then talk about Lana Skye. Edgeworth’s Knife will be added to the records.
Examine the trophy on the couch to add the Prosecutor Trophy to the records. Then present it to Edgeworth.
Talk to Edgeworth about the day of the crime. The Parking Stub will be added to the records.
Go to the Police Dept. Entrance. Observe the mascot near the entrance. Blue Badger Panel will be added to the records.
Present Goodman’s ID to Gumshoe. Then talk to him about Goodman as well as the case and the investigation.
Present the prosecutor’s trophy and the parking stub to Gumshoe. Then talk to him about rumors at law. The Letter of Introduction will be added to the records.
Head back to the parking lot. Present the letter of introduction to Jake Marshall.
Talk to Marshall about the victim. Goodman’s Autopsy Report will be added to the records.
Go to the right half of the garage. Examine the small object near the car.
You will see two options: “Check it out” and “Forget it.” Choose the first option.
While investigating the phone, rotate it to the left. Then press the blue button.
When the phone opens, press the redial button and press examine. The Cell Phone will be added to the records.
Examine the trunk of the car. The Victim’s Note will be added to the records.
Go back to the left side of the parking lot. Talk to Goodman about Lana and the office atmosphere. The cell phone will be updated in the records.

Courtroom: Day One

When the trial starts the Parking Lot Floor Plans will be added to the records.
Starr will give her testimony. At the cross-examination, press her at the statement “Somehow, I knew a day like this would come.”
Then press her at the statement “I was on my way to deliver a lunchbox to my boyfriend…”
Press her again at the statement “Then, through a wire fence, I saw the chief prosecutor standing next to a garish car.” The Crime Photo will be added to the records.
At the statement “The chief prosecutor was holding a knife in her right hand…” present the crime photo.
You will choose between “Objection1” and “No problem!” Choose the first option.
At the statement “The murder was planned. The rubber gloves prove it!” present Edgeworth’s knife.
Starr will give a second testimony. During the cross-examination, present Goodman’s autopsy report at the statement “Nothing else could drive that human machine to plunge the knife in again and again…”
Present the crime photo at the statement “Her red muffler looked like blood to me… that’s how ghastly the whole scene was.”
Starr will give her third testimony. During the cross-examination, press the statement “I quickly caught her, explained her rights to her, and arrested her on the spot.” You will be given a choice between “Leave her alone” and “Press her.” Choose the second option.
Press her again at the statement “When I arrested her, she mentioned the muffler.” When you have to choose between “Ask further” and “Leave it be,” choose the first option. The Cell Phone will be updated in the records.
At the statement “She gave up trying to use the phone on the wall and just used her cell phone” present the floor plans.
You will choose between “What she saw,” “Where she saw it,” and “The order of events.” Choose the second option.
When prompted to point at the floor plans, point at the security room and present it.
There will be three choices: “Angle of view to the crime,” “Distance to the crime,” and “Difference in lighting.” Choose the second option.
When you have to choose between “Raise an objection” and “Sit back and observe,” choose the first option.
Starr will give her fourth testimony. Victim’s Shoe will be added to the records.
Press her at the statement “This shoe proves it! It’s flawless, decisive evidence!” When you get to choose between “There’s no problem” and “There’s a problem,” choose the second option.
When asked to present the shoe, rotate the shoe so that you could see the heel. Then point at the blood on the heel and present it.
When asked to present evidence, present the crime photo.
When asked to point at the second photo, point at the car’s exhaust pipe and present it.
You will be asked to present evidence again. Present Lana’s cell phone.
When observing the switchblade, rotate it so that you could see the switch. Point at the switch and examine it. The Switchblade Knife will be added to the records.
Damon Gant will give his testimony. At the statement “Unless there’s evidence to prove a connection between this knife and Goodman” present the victim’s note.
Press Gant on the statement “This knife was evidence in a case. It was stolen from the Department’s evidence room.”
Press him again at the statement “A detective was killed at the Police Department, see… what a mess!”
Three options will appear: “Where the victim was found,” “How the victim was killed,” and “When the victim died.” Choose the first option.
Press him again at the statement “It’s not officially linked to this here case, so I can’t talk much about it.”
Press the statement “I’ll cooperate, but I can’t reveal the name of the victim at the Department, okay?”
There will be three choices: “The victim’s division,” “The victim’s ID number,” and “The victim’s gender.” Choose the second option.
Two more choices will appear: “This tells me something!” and “This tells me nothing!” Choose the first option.
When prompted to present evidence, present Goodman’s ID.

Investigation: Day Two

When prompted to spray for blood, spray near the back of the car.
When you get to choose between “The bloodstain’s location” and “The amount of blood,” choose the second option. Luminol Testing Fluid will be added to the records.
Present the either the victim’s note or the switchblade knife to Starr. Then present the Crime Photo. Talk to her about the SL9 incident and Jake Marshall. The Steak Lunch will be added to the records.
Head for the Police Department. Then move to the Security Guard Office.
Go back to the Police Department. Then head for the detention center.
Talk to Mike Meekins about the day of the crime and then about the bandaged hand.
Talk about the victim. Then present Goodman’s ID to Meekins and talk about the crime details and the reason for arrest.
Move to the Criminal Affairs Department. Talk to Gant about Edgeworth and the event incident.
Examine the person sitting at the center desk. Goodman’s Lost Item Report will be added to the records.
Then talk to Gant about granting permission.
Head for the Security Guard Office. Examine the door.
Present the steak lunch to Marshall. Talk to him about the guard office and about himself. Then talk about the security system and the transferal.
Present Goodman’s ID to Marshall and you will receive the ID Card Report.
Go into the evidence room. The Evidence Room Floorplans will be added to the records.
Talk to Gumshoe about judge for a day and Edgeworth. Then talk to him about the evidence safe to add the Evidence Locker.
Present either the victim’s note or the switchblade knife to Gumshoe. Then talk to him about SL-9.
Present the ID card report to Gumshoe. It will be updated in the records.
There are many spots to investigate in the evidence room. On the left side of the room, examine the locker with the white cloth hanging out. On the right side of the room, examine the bloody handprint, the open locker, and the glove on the yellow tape. The Rubber Glove will be added to the court records.
Examine the broken pieces behind the yellow tape. You will choose between “Check it out closer” and “Look for other evidence.” Choose the first option.
Go to the fragment number 5. Rotate the fragment so that the dark gray portion is on the top. Press combine.
Go to fragment number 4. Rotate the fragment so that the darker gray portion in on the upper right. Press combine.
Go to fragment number 6. Rotate the fragment so that the red spots are on the upper left. Press combine.
Go to fragment number 1. Rotate the fragment so that dark gray portion is on top.
Go to fragment number 8. Rotate the fragment so that the flat surface is on top.
Go to fragment number 3. Rotate the fragment so that the darker gray portion is on the left.
Go to fragment number 2. Rotate the fragment so that the light gray portion is on the bottom.
Go to fragment number 7. Rotate the fragment so that the red spots are on the bottom. The Unstable Jar will be added to the records.
Use the luminal testing fluid to spray behind the yellow tape. Then spray the handprint.
Go to the left side of the room and spray the locker with the hanging cloth. The data will be added to floor plans.
Move to the high prosecutor’s office. Talk to Edgeworth about the inquiry committee and tomorrow’s trial.
Present the ID card record to Edgeworth. The Screwdriver will be added to the records.
Present either the victim’s note or the switchblade knife. Then talk to him about allegations of forgery. The Fingerprinting Set will be added to the records.
Go back to the evidence room. When asked to choose a finger, choose the thumbprint.
Tap around the screen and blow into the microphone.
Point at the dark spot near the bloody handprint. Then examine it.
When asked to identify the owner’s print, choose Gumshoe.
Go to the left side of the room. Examine the locker with the cloth hanging out. When choosing between “Check for prints” and “Leave it be,” choose the first option.
When asked to choose a finger, point at the area next to the middle finger and press examine.
Spread the powder and blow the microphone. When asked to identify the owner, choose Marshall. Marshall’s Prints will be added to the records.

Courtroom: Day Two

Meekins will give his testimony. During the cross-examination, press him on all statements. Along the way, the ID card record will be updated. The Security Video will be added to the records.
Meekins will give a second testimony. During the cross-examination, press him at the statement “So it must be him! No one else could have unlocked it!”
When asked to choose between “No problem” and “There’s a problem,” choose the second option.
When the video plays, pause the video when you see the light above the locker. Point at the light and present it.
You will be asked to present the video again. Pause the video at the moment the locker is opened. Point at the object that falls out and present it.
When asked to present evidence, present the rubber glove.
Meekins will give a third testimony. At the cross-examination, present Goodman’s lost item report at the statement “At the time of the crime, the detective had used his card.”
You will then choose between “Object” and “Wait and see what happens.” Choose the first option.
When prompted to choose a character profile, present Jake Marshall.
During the recess, you will receive SL-9 Incident Files.
Marshall will give his testimony. During the cross-examination, present Marshall’s prints during the statement “If I remember right, I was at a street-side saloon at the time it went down.”
Marshll will give his second testimony. At the cross-examination, press Marshall at the statement “Like I said, it’s only natural for my fingerprints to be in that evidence room.” Marshall’s prints will be updated in the records.
Press him again at the statement “Or didn’t you know the murderer was wearing gloves?”
Press Marshall at the statement “Too bad it wasn’t me in that video, right, pardner?”
When you need to choose between “Show evidence” and “No evidence in video,” choose the first option.
When asked to present the video, pause the video when you see the cloth hanging out of the locker. Point at the cloth and present the video.
When asked to present evidence, present the evidence locker.
When you need to point at the floor plan, point at the V and present it.
You will have to present the video one more. Pause the video when you see the blood-stained coat. Point at the blood and present it.
Marshal will give his third testimony. During the cross-examination, press him on all statements.
Present the SL-9 incident file at the statement “I can’t just forget the SL-9 incident. You know why?”
After the long dialogue, you will choose between “I object!” and “There’s no problem!” Choose the first choice.
When asked to present evidence, present the Blue Badger panel.
You will be prompted to present evidence again. Present the ID card records.

Investigation: Day Three

Speak with Ema about the SL-9 incident, and what happened after the incident. Then talk about a permanent picture and something puzzling.
Go to the detention center. Talk to Lana about the trial and her detective work. Then speak about the Darke investigation and the first one at the scene.
Go to the Police Department. Speak with Marshall about the Darke trial and his work as a prosecutor. Then talk about scars and Gant and Skye’s partnership.
Head for the Criminal Affairs Department. Then go to the Chief’s Office. The Gant Team Picture will be added to the records.
Go back to Criminal Affairs. Talk to Gumshoe about Edgeworth’s crisis and the SL-9 incident.
Present the switchblade to Gumshoe. Then talk to him about Darke’s crimes and the murder weapon. Neil’s Autopsy Report will be added to the records. The switchblade knife will also be updated.
Go to the prosecutor’s office. Present the Gant team picture to Edgeworth. Then talk to him about the trophy. The prosecutor’s trophy will be updated in the records.
Examine the crumpled paper under the desk. You will receive a Letter of Resignation.
Go back to the parking lot. Talk to Starr about Darke and what happened after the case. Then talk about the legendary duo and being used.
Go back to Criminal Affairs. Present the letter of resignation to Gumshoe. Gumshoe’s ID will be added to the records.
Talk to Gumshoe about the office and about Gant.
Examine the safe near the desk at the right side of the office.
When choosing between “Input number” and “Don’t touch it,” choose the first option. Input the number 7777777.
Examine the safe again.
Present the unstable jar to Gumshoe. Two choices will appear: “Assemble fragment” and “Leave it be for now.”
Rotate the fragment so that the red marks are on the left side. Then press combine. The Unstable Jar will be updated in the records.
Present the fingerprinting set to Gumshoe. When prompted to choose a finger, pick the middle finger.
Spread the powder on the cloth and blow. When asked to choose the owner, choose Ema Skye. The Strip of Cloth will be added to the records.
Examine the Chief’s desk to receive the Evidence List.
After the following dialogue, talk to Lana about keeping quiet. When asked to present a character profile, present Damon Gant.
Talk to Lana about Damon Gant. When asked to present evidence, present either the evidence list, or the unstable jar.
Talk to Lana about her orders and then about Darke’s knife.

Courtroom: Day Three

After the long dialogue, Ema Skye will give her testimony. During the cross-examination, press her at the statement “but I’ll never forget what I saw that instant!”
You will choose between “Hear more” and “Stop.” Choose the first option.
You will then choose between “Ask about the picture” and “Stop.” Choose the first option.
Check the evidence list in the court records. Turn the paper around to find the picture.
Present the evidence list during the statement “I drew a picture of that scene once… but it seems to have been lost.” After the following dialogue, the Evidence List will be updated in the records.
Ema will give her second testimony. At the cross-examination, present Neil’s autopsy report during the statement “This picture shows exactly what I saw that instant.”
When asked to present the picture, point at the tip of the weapon and present it.
You will choose between “Ema’s mistaken” and “There’s another one.” Choose the second option.
When prompted to present evidence, present the Gant team picture.
Ema will give her third testimony. During the cross-examination, present the unstable jar at the statement “Just then there was another flash of lightning, and that’s when I saw… the Blue Badger!”
When asked to present the jar, rotate the jar with the right dial so that the fat end of the jar faces you. Then use the rotation buttons on the left to make the handles point to upper left and right directions. Then use the dial on the right to tilt the vase downwards. The vase should resemble the Blue Badger so present it.
You will be given three choices: “The location,” “The murder weapon,” and “The murderer.” Choose the first choice.
Two more choice will appear: “is in the evidence” and “doesn’t exist.” Choose the first option.
Present the unstable jar when asked to show evidence.
Connect the dots on the jar. The lines should form EMA. Present the jar.
During the recess, you will receive Evidence Law.
When asked to present a character profile, present Damon Gant.
Gant will give his testimony. At the cross-examination, present the unstable jar at the statement “As you can see, I had nothing to do with the forgery.”
Gant will give a second testimony. During the cross-examination, press him at the statement “Rearranging the crime scene wouldn’t help me out in any way.”
Press Gant again at the statement “I wouldn’t be anyone’s accomplice if there was nothing in it for me.”
Two choices will appear: “No” and “Point out accomplice.” Choose the second option.
When asked to present a character profile, present Lana Skye.
When asked to present evidence, present the ID card report.
You will be asked to present evidence again. Present Goodman’s lost item report.
Once again, you will need to show evidence. Present the screwdriver.
You will then choose between “Present evidence” and “I have no proof yet.” Choose the second option.
When asked to choose a character profile, present Lana Skye.
Lana will give her testimony. During the cross-examination, press her at the statement “When I found Prosecutor Marshall’s body, I rearranged the crime scene.”
Press her again at the statement “I broke off the tip of Darke’s knife, planted it inside the wound, then moved the body.”
You will choose between “Why did you plant the knife?” and “Why did you move the body?” Choose the second option.
Present the unstable jar at the statement “The pieces of the jar that shattered during the events threatened my plan.”
Lana will give her second testimony. During the cross-examination, present the unstable jar at the statement “The fragments were large, so I’m sure I got them all.”
Lana will give her third testimony. Look at the Evidence Law book in the records and check it. Flip the book to the back cover and examine it. Lana’s Picture will be added to the records.
You will choose between “Show evidence” and “Do not show evidence.” Choose the second option.
After the long dialogue the previous two choices will appear again. Choose the first option.
