A Maripoca Country, Arizona Attorney announced that the owners of the Phoenix New Times, who were arrested for revealing grand jury secrets in an article titled, "Breathtaking Abuse of the Constitution," were released from prison and had all charges against them dropped. The arrests were criticized by some observers as being an act of revenge by overzealous Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, who had had a number of disputes with the paper in the past.
