Phoebe Cates

Phoebe Cates is a film actress who became famous in 1982 for her performance as "Linda Barrett " in Amy Heckerling's teen comedy, Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Cates reached sex icon status after the release of Fast Times, particularly because of a fantasy sequence in the movie where Judge Reinhold imagines her taking her bikini off beside a pool.

In 1984, Cates played "Kate Beringer" in Joe Dante's monster comedy, Gremlins. She continued to make family oriented comedy films after that, and made Gremlins 2 in 1990, Drop Dead Fred in 1991, and Princess Caraboo in 1994.

Phoebe Cates currently runs a boutique clothing store called Blue Tree in New York City. She is married to actor, Kevin Kline, and they have two children together.
