Phillip Lim

Phillip Lim is an American fashion designer who launched his clothing line in 2004. His signature collection is 3.1 Phillip Lim, which was superstitiously named after the age when he made his big break.

• Fall 2006 collection: Laird Borrelli of Vogue praised his work as "pretty-but-cool clothes that don't try too hard."

• Spring 2007 collection: Nicole Phelps of Vogue, said "Lim proved himself to be an accomplished tailor. His clothes were romantic and predominantly white, with occasional navy and floral elements."

• Fall 2007 collection: Inspired by Edith Bouvier Beale with its preppy plaids, and frilly dresses, Lim calls this collection "pedigree minus prudence".

• Resort 2008 collection: Lims standard motifs.
