  • Phillip Christon is an award-winning American director and screenwriter.

    Fresh out of UCLA Film School, Phillip Christon interned at Warner Bros with Jonathan Demme who also gave him his first acting part opposite Christine Lahti in Swing Shift also starring Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russel. Phillip Christon subsequently worked as a successful First Assistant Director for practically every genre in mainstream Hollywood and independent feature film including The Linguini Incident starring David Bowie and Rosanna Arquette; Corrina, Corrina starring Whoopi Goldberg and Ray Liotta; Even Cowgirls Get the Blues starring Uma Thurman and Keanu Reeves; Sister, Sister starring Jennifer Jason Leigh and Eric Stoltz ; House Party 2 with Queen Latifah, Iman and Martin Lawrence and Stephen King's Pet Cemetery.

    As a writer/director his films have been awarded at major film festivals around the world. His award-winning drama debut, "The Chosen One" starring Michelle Forbes received the Bronze Award at the WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival, won the Audience Award at the Schikaneder Film Festival, Austria and was a finalist at the USA Film Festival, Dallas. His second award-winning film, “The Bundle” won the Gold Award at WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival, the Best of... at the Weis International Film Festival, Vienna; made the Official Selection at the Hamptons International Film Festival and was picked up for distribution by Bravo and The Independent Film Channel. His latest award-winning film I'm Not Britney starring Ndoema premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and has spun a global movement spanning over 60 countries around the world.

    A summa cum laude graduate of UCLA’s Film School, Phillip Christon started his Hollywood career working as an intern, a production assistant, location manager, second assistant director and first assistant director in Film, Music Videos and Commercials before writing and directing his own award-winning films. In his career spanning over fifteen years he has worked with some of Hollywood's most prestigious filmmakers, including Gus Van Sant, Bill Condon, Gore Verbinski and Tony Kaye as well as top photographers Herb Ritts, Matthew Rolston and Annie Leibovitz.
