Philippe Rousselot

Philippe Rousselot is a French cinematographer.

Career

After assisting cinematographer Nestor Almendros on several films in the early 1970s, Philippe Rousselot became the director of photography on both movie and TV projects. In 1981, he won a César Award and a National Society of Film Critics Award for his work on Diva.

Rousselot won 2 more Césars for Thérèse (1986) and La Reine Margot (1994).

Rousselot presently works on both French and American films. He has worked with director Tim Burton on Big Fish (2003) and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005).

In 1993, Rousselot won a "Best Cinematography" Oscar for Robert Redford's A River Runs Through It.
