Early Career
Boucher began his career with the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League's Granby Bisons in 1990, where he earned the QMJHL Rookie of the Year award. He was then selected 13th overall in the 1991 NHL draft by the Buffalo Sabres. He made his NHL debut with the Sabres in the 1992-93 regular season, spending most of his time with their minor league affiliate, the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League. On February 14, 1995, Boucher was traded to the Los Angeles Kings, where he again spent much of his time with their minor league affiliates.
Recent Years
Boucher earned a full roster spot with the Kings during the 2001-02 regular season. Following the season he entered free agency and signed with the Dallas Stars on July 2, 2002. He later renewed his contract, re-signing with the Stars to a three year contract extension on March 3, 2006. In 2007, Boucher was selected for his first NHL All-Star Game.
