Singer Phil Stacey was a contestant on the sixth season of the hit reality singing competition television show American Idol. Beating out many other contestants, he was eliminated in sixth place. After the conclusion of the show, he went out on the American Idols Tour 2007 joined by the top 10 finalists of the season.
On Idol
Stacey was serving as a member of the U.S. Navy as a musician third class out of Jacksonville, Florida when he auditioned for American Idol. He missed the birth of his second daughter McKayla to audition for the show.
His last Idol performance was a cover of "Blaze of Glory" by Bon Jovi. He was eliminated in the same week as Chris Richardson the week after a non-elimination round due to an Idol Gives Back special.
After Idol
Stacey released self titled debut album on April 29, 2008 with Lyric Street records. He is currently living in Brentwood, Tennessee and is member of the U.S. Navy Reserves.
