Dr. Philip Plait began investigating the skies at the age of 14 when he bought a 10-inch telescope. While attending the University of Virginia, Plait started the Bad Astronomy website, which he used to challenge various myths regarding astronomy. After finishing school, Plait worked for NASA on the Hubble Space Telescope.
