On May 4, 2009, Rhode Island police issued an arrest warrant for Markoff, for a third robbery on April 16, 2009. The victim stated that a pair of her panties were taken by the man who robbed her. Allegedly a Las Vegas prostitute met him at a Holiday Inn Express in Warwick, Rhode Island, where she was handcuffed and robbed.ABC: Accused Craiglist Killer... Male Victims?
Though all of Markoff's alleged crimes had concerned female victims, on April 27, a male Boston businessman told NBC News that he had been contacted by Markoff regarding a Craigslist ad seeking transsexuals.
