Phat Farm is an urban men's clothing line launched by record producer Russell Simmons in 1992.
Phat Farm fashion line is a mix of urban sporty and classic Ivy League prep. such as argyle sweaters paired with baggy jeans and white sneakers. Phat Farms sister company Baby Phat caters to women's apparel, as well as a full line of eyeglasses, fragrances and children's clothing.
Phat Farm products have been label somewhat political carrying the broken flag logo, visible on every piece of clothing with the exception of footwear.

Founder Russell Simmons
Russell Simmons was born in 1957 in New York, and attended City College, later dropping out to follow his dream of becoming a music promoter to local rap music acts such as Run-D.M.C. and Kurtis Blow. In 1984, Simmons Co. founded Def Jam Records.
