Peter Rowan

  • Peter Rowan is a bluegrass musician who plays guitar and mandolin and often performs with Tony Rice.
  • Career

    While still in high school Rowan formed a Tex Mex band which independently released a single. In 1963 he joined the Cambridge-based Mother Bay State Entertainers and played mandolin and sang. In 1964 Rowan became a rhythm guitarist and lead singer with Bill Monroe and his Blue Grass Boys remaining with them through 1967.

    Peter Rowan has continued with his musical talent and songwriting throughout the years joining with many popular groups and solo projects adding value to bluegrass music and pleasing his fans.
