Peter Farrelly is an American filmmaker who collaboratively works with his brother, Bobby Farrelly. He has directed, produced and written a number of comedy films such as Dumb and Dumber and Kingpin.
He, along with his brother and producers Bradley Thomas and Charlie Wessler, will revive the classic comedy series The Three Stooges as a movie. Sean Penn has been signed to play Larry, Jim Carrey is in negotiations to play Curly and Benicio Del Toro has been approached to play Moe. The Ringer
He, as well as his brother, produced a film titled The Ringer, about a man who tries to fix the Special Olympics. The Farrelly brothers treated the Special Olympic athletes respectfully and won the praise of Special Olympics International and they used more than 200 special Olympic athletes as extras. The movie stars Johnny Knoxville and Katherine Heigl and was released in 2005.
