Pete Souza is a photojournalist and freelance photographer. Souza became the new official White House photographer in January 2009. Pete Souza has won many awards for his photography. He has photographed political events, personalities, presidents and even war. Following the attacks of 9/11 Souza was one of the first journalists into Kabul, Afghanistan, traveling through snowy mountains by horseback to get there.
