  • Pete Maravich was an NBA guard for 10 seasons, and the youngest player inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame.

    Maravich was renowned for his dribbling and passing skills, as well as his shooting abilities. After attending Louisiana State University, Maravich was drafted in 1970 by the Atlanta Hawks. He quickly became an impact player by averaging over 23 points a game. Maravich made the All-NBA First Team in 1976 and 1977. Maravich played his final season alongside Larry Bird on the Boston Celtics. Maravich retired in 1980 due to a leg injury.

    After retirement, Maravich traveled and found religion, becoming a Christian. In 1988, he died of a heart attack at the age of 40 after playing a pickup game of basketball.
