Background

The bombing struck the busy Wednesday morning marketplace in one of the highest populated cities of the area, resulting in a high number of civilian casualties, mostly women and children. Bomb Blast in Meena Bazar Peshawar

The blast at a marketplace in Peshawar caused many victims, many believed to be women. The blast caused a fire, which spread to many of the surrounding buildings. The number of casualties is expected to rise.
