1988: June 1, Ross Perot founded Perot Systems Corporation.
1989: Fulfilled their first outsourcing agreement with Insurance Holding Company by completing a data center in juust 56 days.
1990: Consolodated 3 separate information systems depatements into one data center in a three bank merger for NationsBank,
1991: Established itself as a partner to the automotive and manufacturing sector by partnering with what later became a part of TRW Automotive.
1992: Opened an office in London
1992: In working for worldwide auto rental company, Europcar, revolutionized the car rental business, introducing new technologies including curbside check-in and centralized fleet tracking.
1995: Established Perot Systems Healthcare Group when Perot Systems customer American Medical International when National Medical Enterprises purchased the company, and contracted Perot Systems to merge the 2 separate information systems departments.
1996: Gained it's first top tier financial services client in an outsourcing contract with UBS
1999: February 1, Went public with an IPO of $16 a share as PER.
1999: Recorded revenues in excess of $1 billion dollars
2000: Ross Perot, Jr. was named President and Chief Executive Officer of Perot Systems, and the company consolidated offices and established world headquarters in Plano, Texas.
2002: Acquired ADI Technology Corporation, an IT and consulting company that specilized in projects for the federal government, and Perot Systems Government Services, Inc. came into being.
2003: Acquired Soza & Company, Ltd., thus expanding the market share of Perot Systems Government Services, Inc. in the federal government business arena.
2003: Expanded their vast payment processing capabilities by acquiring Vision Healthsource, the largest billing and claims company in India, servicing the U.S. health care industry.
2003: With the acquisition of another Indian company, HCL Technologies, Perot Systems strengthened their applications development and management capabilities.
2004: Ross Perot was named Chairman Emeritus of the Board of Directors, while Ross Perot, Jr. was named Chairman, and former Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary Peter Altabef was named President and Chief Executive Officer.
2009: Perot Systems Corp is sold to Dell Inc for $3.9 billion, offering $30 per share.
