Perfect Dark Zero Walkthrough Introduction
- This guide is a detailed look at the Xbox 360 game Perfect Dark Zero. You will find general gameplay tips, a step-by-step walkthrough of each level as well as achievement information and advice contained in the guide.
- NOTE: This walkthrough contains all the primary and support objectives to complete the third level of difficulty, Perfect Agent. If you are playing through the game on Agent or Secret Agent, you will face fewer objectives. Just follow the chapter headings to skip forward in the walkthrough.
General Gameplay Tips
- There's a reason dataDyne guards will charge your location when out of ammo. Weapon based melee is surprisingly powerful; use the B button to smack nearby enemies. It can save Joanna's life due to a poorly timed reload.
- Hit LB to perform a defensive roll. This will allow Joanna to evade enemy gunfire and move quickly around corners.
- The cover system is invaluable on the harder levels of difficulty. The majority of walls and crates can be used for cover by pressing A when prompted.
- Always hit X to reload your weapon during downtime. There may be a group of enemies around the next corner and a fresh clip will be helpful.
- When unarmed, press RB to disarm a nearby enemy.
- Before each mission, select a gadget based on your favorite style of play. There is no wrong choice, but some gadgets help you to complete the levels more quickly.
- If you would like to drop a weapon, press down on the D-Pad. You can holster your weapon with up on the D-Pad to allow Joanna to run faster.
Weaponry
- Weapons in Perfect Dark Zero nearly always have a secondary mode and occasionally a tertiary advantage. LB activates the secondary mode and holding LB before pressing LT activates tertiary mode.
- When organizing your inventory, try to be aware of the weapon sizes when suiting up for a mission. Max out the space with explosives or an extra pistol before starting a level.
- To swap out weapons in the field, stand over a downed enemy and press Y. Check the readout on the HUD to see what Joanna is trading away.
Close Combat
- Shotgun: The shotgun fires a wide spray of pellets into the enemy, but has a limited range. At close range, it's a one shot kill. It takes up 2 weapon slots, has an ammo load of 6 shells and 80 rounds can be carried. The secondary mode sends out a ping labeling all enemies on the radar and the tertiary mode temporarily tricks the enemy into thinking Joanna is a friendly.
- Viblade: The viblade is a sword that's deadly at close range. It also has an extremely useful secondary mode; it emits an energy shield to temporally protect Joanna from enemy fire. It takes up 2 weapon slots and doesn't require ammunition.
Pistols
- NOTE: Joanna can carry a maximum of 200 rounds of ammunition for each pistol. Each pistol uses 1 weapon slot in the inventory screen. Also, pistols can be dual wielded (2 slots).
- P9P: The P9P is the starting pistol and comes in handy for headshots. It comes fitted with a scope and has an ammo clip of 9 rounds. The secondary mode equips a silencer for quiet kills and the tertiary mode turns on a flashlight for dimly lit areas.
- Falcon: The falcon offers less damage per shot than the P9P, but has an ammo clip twice the size (18 rounds) and fires slightly faster. The secondary mode spits a clip out of the gun and bullets explode in all direction; perhaps a worthwhile distraction.
- Magsec 4: The magsec offers the same amount of damage as the P9P and the scope is more powerful. It does not use a silencer though. The ammo clip holds 9 rounds and the secondary mode magnetizes the shots. This makes it possible to shoot into a room and hit the enemy without having a direct line of fire
- Magnum: The magnum offers the highest damage for any pistol, but suffers from inaccuracy. It carries 6 rounds of ammunition and the secondary mode of fire silences the shot until it hits the target.
- Psychosis: The psychosis gun doesn't offer much in the way of damage, but it's great for crowd control. The gun fires tranquilizer darts that send the enemy into a blind daze. The ammo clip carries 6 shots and the secondary mode fires all 6 darts at once.
Thrown Weapons
- NOTE: Each thrown weapon uses 1 weapon slot in the inventory screen.
- Frag Grenades: The frag grenade has a high level of damage, but a limited yield. The fuse has a timer of a few seconds and can be set to explode on impact with an object or enemy.
- Flashbangs: There is no damage inflicted with a flashbang, just a blinding light. Look away when throwing one at a group of enemies to avoid a white screen.
- Multi-Mines: These are proximity mines that can be planted in the path of the enemy. They have a high damage and average yield. The secondary mode allows Joanna to attach the mines and detonate with a trigger.
- Hawk Boomerang: The hawk is a powerful weapon, but has a low accuracy. When it's thrown, it rips through enemies and returns to Joanna. It's much more useful for the secondary mode; a bubble shield that protects Joanna from gunfire and explosives.
Sub Machine Guns
- NOTE: Joanna can carry a maximum of 200 rounds of ammunition for each sub machine gun. Each gun uses 2 weapon slots in the inventory screen.
- DW-P5: The DW-P5 offers an average level of damage, but the accuracy is better than most the sub machine guns. It comes with a scope attached and has a clip of 24 rounds. The secondary mode attaches a silencer and the tertiary mode turns on a mounted flashlight.
- UGL Liberator: The UGL is the least accurate of all the sub machine guns, but the damage is decent. The ammo clip holds 24 rounds and it fires fairly quickly. The secondary mode rigs the gun as a proximity mine and tosses it away. The blast is great for taking out large groups of charging enemies.
- CMP 150: The CMP is a very accurate sub machine gun, but has low damage yield. It carries a 24 round clip and the secondary mode projects a hologram to confuse enemies.
- RCP-90: While the accuracy of the RCP is low, the damage is above average. The ammo clip holds 40 rounds and the rate of fire is excellent. Most importantly, the secondary function is a thermal imaging scan that highlights all the enemies in a red outline. It's great for finding hiding guards. The tertiary mode acts as a mini-EMP blast to scramble enemy radar.
Assault Rifles
- NOTE: Joanna can carry a maximum of 200 rounds of ammunition for each assault rifle. Each gun uses 2 weapon slots in the inventory screen.
- KSI-74: The accuracy on the KSI stinks, but the damage is great. The ammo clip holds 30 rounds and 1 knife. The secondary mode fires the knife silently for an instant kill.
- Laptop Gun: The laptop gun has an amazing rate of fire and accuracy, but the damage yield is on the back end. It holds 30 rounds of ammo and the secondary mode converts the gun into a rotating sentry gun; great for distracting the enemy.
- FAC-16: The FAC is a mid level assault rifle with a limited range and average damage. The ammo clip has 30 rounds and the secondary function fires a single grenade; up to 6 grenades can be stored in reserve. The tertiary function attaches a silencer to the weapon.
- Superdragon: The Superdragon, referred to as the S-Dragon in the walkthrough, is the most well-rounded assault rifle in the game. The damage and accuracy are average, but it uses an impressive scope for range. The ammo clip holds 20 rounds, but also 6 grenades. The secondary mode can fire the six grenades in succession; 20 grenades are stored in reserve. The tertiary mode offers a night-vision view for the HUD.
Sniper Rifles
- NOTE: Both sniper rifles take up 3 weapon slots in the inventory screen and Joanna can carry 30 rounds of ammo.
- Jackal: The jackal offers an extreme level of damage and can kill the majority of enemies with one shot to the chest. The disadvantage is slowly reloading after every shot. The secondary mode turns off enemy radar for a short time period.
- Shockwave: The shockwave is less powerful than the jackal, but offers shots in succession. The gun does have a tendency to overheat after a few shots through. The secondary mode offers the very useful X-Ray vision mode across the HUD. This will identify enemies around corners and through walls.
Heavy Weapons
- NOTE: Heavy weapons take up 3 weapon slots in the inventory screen.
- M60: The M60 is a heavy machine-gun that has terrible accuracy, but excellent damage and rate of fire. The clip holds 80 rounds and Joanna can carry a max of 200. The reload time is dreadfully long. The secondary mode fires a smattering of caltrops to slow down chasing enemies.
- Rocket Launcher: The rocket launcher is a high damage weapon that has decent accuracy due to an average scope. The ammo cartridge holds 4 rockets and a max of 30 can be carried. The secondary mode allows the player to manually control the path of the rocket when fired.
- Plasma Rifle: The plasma rifle fires slow bursts of plasma that are easy to dodge. They are extremely damaging though. It's also great for splash damage to stun enemies and line up another shot. The plasma rifle doesn't require any ammo, but it recharges slowly. The secondary mode is an extremely useful invisibility mode. Click it on and Joanna can walk past enemies unnoticed.
Gadgets
- NOTE: Gadgets are always activated by pressing left or right on the D-Pad. The HUD always provides on screen instructions for their use.
- Audioscope: The Audioscope is a set of binoculars that identifies enemies in the area. It can also check and record voices of characters. To identify an enemy, aim the Audioscope at their position. Press RT to lock on and wait for the status bar to fill.
- Locktopus: This device unlocks doors, lockers, ladders or other locked objects in the level environment. When the device is attached, it emits a glow. Red means failure and bright green means success. Move LS around to change the color and look for the sweet spot. This has to be repeated several times for tougher locks.
- Data Thief: The Data Thief can hack into computers, power supplies, terminals and other electronic devices. Watching a white light move in a circular pattern and hitting A when the light enters the blue sections operates the device. More difficult hacks make the white light spin faster and harder to hit successfully.
- Demo Kit: The Demo Kit can be attached to cracked walls for alternative entry to a room. The readout of a Demo Kit is a grid of squares that can be selected with LS and rotated with A. The trick is to connect one power source to another on the grid by rotating the correct pieces.
- Cam-spy: The Cam-spy is a small electronic device that can access small vent shafts and pass through laser grids. It has a defensive electric shocking device activated by pressing RT.
- HUD Goggles: There are a variety of goggles in the game that can be activated at any time. You will find night vision, thermal, and X-Ray goggles around the various levels.
Evade dataDyne Security
- CUTSCENE: Joanna Dark is seen sneaking past guards and infiltrating an underground facility deep in the Pacific Ocean.
- Take a minute to get acclimated in this little room. Shoot the spider-bot latched on the door ahead by moving RS to control Joanna's aim and RT to fire the gun. Take out the next two that show up to open the door.
] - Hit X to reload. Head to the left. Press A to open the door ahead. A also closes doors. Continue to the left to reach a laser trip wire. Click the LS to crouch and walk underneath it.
- In the small warehouse ahead, use B to smash the crates on the landing ahead. In the upcoming blue sensor field, hit LB when walking towards it to leap through. If you happen to trip the sensors, just run forward to avoid the turret fire.
- Take a right into another office and head to the white X on the floor to the left. At the X, hit A to use the wall for cover. Aim at the camera around the corner and hold RT to shoot the camera. Press A again to disengage cover.
- Head through the door and two guards will be below next to rows of computers. Use the cover to the right or simply hold LT to aim on their position before firing.
- Walk down to their level and head to the door on the far right. To the left of the door, walk to the white X and hit left or right on the D-Pad to bring out the Data Thief. Hit the A button when the white light moving around the three circles turns blue.
Destroy CPU
- CUTSCENE Joanna is sneaking past tons of scientists and guards into a small, secluded room.
- Joanna now has to move the Cam-spy around the level using LS for movement and RS for camera control. Move forward and hang a left at the wall. Circle around the room to find the shaft.
- Move through the shaft until you locate a grid of yellow lasers. Look to the left through a small grate and hit RT to zap the controls. There is a grate on the right that needs to be zapped as well.
- Continue forward to fall down two shafts and the Cam-spy will hit another laser grid. This time the grate is above the Cam-spy near some sparking wires. Zap it with RT to continue. Drive forward to fall down another long shaft and simply move forward into the CPU room. Hit RB to detonate the Cam-spy.
- CUTSCENE: The CPU erupts in a massive explosion and the spider-bots attack the guards in the facility. Joanna is seen knocked out from the blast and is told that the spider-bots are headed her way.
- Head into the passageway and into the door on the left. Once inside the room, use the zoom function on Joanna's gun to fire on the eight spider-bots to the right. Approach the glass room to find a scientist trapped inside due to the spider-bots.
- TIP: Explosive spider-bots glow yellow instead of orange. Shoot them first to avoid mishaps, as well as taking out other bots in the explosion.
- After all the spider-bots have been shot, walk to the glass door to get the scientist to follow Joanna. He will go to the computer to restore the power. The door will pop open and the scientist will run to the elevator. Follow him and try to shoot the explosive spider-bots to the left before he reaches them.
Escort Scientists to Elevator
- In the next room, the bots will pin down two more scientists. Help them dispose of the five spider-bots and they will join Joanna's group.
- Move to the opposite side of the room to shoot a spider-bot latched to a door code box on the right and continue through as the door opens. Take a right and look ahead on the left to pick up a machine gun or resupply Joanna's ammo.
- Turn around and head to the area the scientists are shooting from. Several spider-bots will be crawling on the floor ahead. Shoot quickly to avoid death by explosion. Also try to shoot the bots crawling on the walls to the left and right before entering the passage.
- Move to the door and hit the code box to open the door. Follow the scientist in the suit down the ramp on the left. Be sure to shoot any bots along the path before the other scientists pass through.
- Follow the hallway on the far north of the room to reach the elevator platform and the first support objective will be fulfilled.
Deploy a Sentry Gun
- Look to the opposite side of the room to pick up a laptop gun. Aim toward the center of the room and deploy it by pressing LB. That will fulfill the support objective.
- One of the scientists will start working on the power to the elevator. Spider-bots will start crawling down the elevator shaft on all sides. Shoot the spider-bots and try to take note of how close the yellow bots are getting to the scientists.
- If the scientist working on the elevator power dies, Chandra will attempt to hack into security to lower the lift. Unfortunately this means more time spent killing spider-bots. Once the elevator finally arrives, walk in and hit A to leave.
Escape Trinity Platform
- Unfortunately security will be waiting at the top of the lift. Allow the scientists to file out, and Joanna's dad will join her in the firefight. File out the door and shoot the three men to the left before moving to cover on the left.
- TIP: Try firing on the red explosive barrels when an enemy is near them.
- Two attack aircraft will be called in on their position. Run from cover object to cover object evading their fire, as well as popping out to shoot the upcoming three guards firing in front of the lift platform.
- Once on the platform, hit A to raise the lift and four flying guards with jetpacks will attack from the sky. They can easily be picked off with the zoom function on the machine gun.
- Follow Jack Dark to the middle of the platform and toward the glowing, orange door.
- CUTSCENE: Jack Dark will fire in the sky to destroy the final jetpack guard and he will go crashing to the platform. All of a sudden the screen goes white to find out the entire event has been inside a simulation chamber.
Nightclub Stakeout
- BRIEFING: A scientist named Ziegler has been kidnapped by the Triads and it's up to Jack / Joanna to rescue him. Jack will infiltrate the Triad nightclub and Joanna will identify the Triads patrolling outside. Chandra will be waiting in a speedboat for extraction.
Identify Enforcers
- CUTSCENE: The camera will pan over Hong Kong's shoreline and Chandra / Joanna will approach from the river on the speedboat. Joanna is seen spying on the area with a pair of binoculars and eventually hopping onto the nearby dock.
- TIP: Don't fire your weapon in this portion. This is a silent operation until you identify the enforcers.
- Move forward, but don't alert the guard sitting on the box to the left of your presence. Hit him on the back of the head with B. Quickly move down the wooden pier to the left and climb the ladder ahead by clicking A.
- While up on the helicopter pad, pull out the binoculars by hitting left or right on the D-Pad. The enforcer will be standing in the middle of the courtyard and glowing green. Unfortunately, this is too far of a distance to ID him.
- Check for a guard patrolling around the area and head down off the chopper pad and walk to the right. Look for the corner filled with plants to try the binoculars again.
- TIP: Once you are in decent binocular range, Joanna will be able to hear their conversation.
- Pull out the binoculars again and zoom into his position with LT. Lock on with RT and wait until his image is fully uploaded.
- Head back up the chopper pad stairs and back down the ladder. A guard should be walking away from Joanna's position down the wooden dock. Walk up behind the guard to bash him with B and continue left around the corner ahead.
- Pass the series of boats to the right and creep up the stairs. A group of three guards are directly ahead, but first peek to the left to look for a patrolling guard walking between the club and the set of vehicles to the left.
- Once that guard has passed, walk between the building and the vehicles. Try to stay out of the light and proceed to the wooden double door at the end of the area. Pull out the demo kit when queued and attach the explosives by rotating the red diagram with LS.
- The nearby guards won't appreciate the noise, so turn around to shoot them and any other guards that run from the club entrance. Use the armored cars for cover.
- Head through the exploded double doors and to a lift at the end of the steamy alley. Hit A to make the elevator rise and hit B at the top to bash the unaware guard.
- Pull out the Audioscope again (left or right on the D-Pad) to lock onto the enforcer directly ahead by clicking RT. Move to the left to grab a zip line by pressing A.
- Once Joanna has landed, peek over the side and lock onto the last Enforcer below to the left with the Audioscope.
- CUTSCENE: Jack Dark will contact Joanna, as he's under heavy fire and attempting to escape the compound.
Destroy Killian's Powerboat
- At this point, feel free to fire on any guard until the end of the mission. Take out the enforcer and one guard to the left first. Drop down to use the area for cover and pick off the renaming guards that charge your position.
- There are two guards in the building opposite of the first zip line shooting from the window. Pick them off and jump into the water. Approach the boat and another demo kit option will appear. Repeat the previous process to attach the explosive and clear the area.
- Move back outside to the main area by leaving via the stairs inside the two-story building closest to the nightclub. Move up the stairs and along the walkway to leave via the door.
Evacuate Civilians
- Once back outside, head for the main entrance to the club. Joanna will get a secondary objective to evacuate the civilians in the club by yanking the fire alarm. Walk to the right around the armored vehicles and hug the wall to reach the club entrance.
- Having already shot all the guards outside the club entrance, take a right into the nightclub. Once inside, the guards will immediately start shooting at you.
- Quickly shoot the man behind the bar to the left and follow the wall to the left to find a wooden door. Open it and the fire alarm will be on the left wall. Hit it with B to complete the secondary objective.
Locate Jack Dark
- TIP: This is not a bad room to wait for all the first floor nightclub security to come to you. There is some armor nearby.
- Once the shooting outside has died down, move outside the door to pop a few guards shooting from the ledge above. Use cover behind the bar to shoot them. Once the room has been cleared, walk up the stairs and hang a left up the second set.
- Turn to the right to walk up another set of stairs and hang a right into the laser light show bar room. Shoot the two unaware guards to the left and three guards to the right will fire on you. Use the concrete supports around the room for cover.
- Three more guards will appear from behind the bar and make an attempt to flank Joanna. Hide behind the supports and pop out to fire on their positions. Head behind the bar and through a passageway to enter the next large room.
- A man will immediately be shooting at Joanna from the bar. Shoot him first then worry about the men approaching from the right side. Use the wall for cover and pop out to shoot three to four enemies.
- Continue up another set of winding stairs and follow the walkway to the opposite side of the room. Strafe through the door, as two men will be waiting on the stairs to the right to shoot Joanna.
Disable Sentry Guns
- Walk up the stairs, but carefully peek out the top to see where the first sentry gun is firing from. Try to zoom in on its location with the P9P or another gun with a scope. Once it's blown up, peek around the hallways to the left and right to scope out the next two guns.
- TIP: You also have the option of locating the security room to disable the remaining turrets. If you have the demo kit, blow open the orange-lit wall near the door to the left of the fountain and hit the switch inside.
- Continue around the neon lit room to find a couple of dead bodies, but peek around the corner to check for sentry guns. The final two guns are likely guarding the elevator. Head to the elevator door to hear muffled voices. Chandra will inform Joanna that is the location of Jack's beacon.
- CUTSCENE: Jack Dark is seen rescuing Ziegler from the leader of the Triads. The leader attempts to bribe Jack with more money. Jack is distracted as Joanna pops out of the elevator and Triad leader pulls a gun to shoot Jack. Joanna attempts to get s shot off, but the Triad leader makes an impressive leap out his office window.
Subway Retrieval
- BRIEFING: Ziegler needs the help of the Dark family to get his research, which is very dangerous in the wrong hands. Chandra suggests Joanna should grab the research. It's being held in a safe house near a subway station.
Infiltrate Warehouse
- CUTSCENE: Joanna will be waiting in an elevator riding down to the bottom floor of a parking garage. A gang of six motorcycle punks challenges her once she is off the elevator.
- Move to the left to seek cover against the six gang members. Use the car as cover while popping out to shoot explosive containers near the gang members. Once they are all dead, pick up a key card off one of their bodies.
- Head to the opposite end of the garage to use the red glowing card reader to open the metal gate. Move forward, but stop at the cover to peek around and look for cameras. Security cameras are placed randomly for each level attempt, but emit a moving white light.
- TIP: Cameras will explode after several shots to the metal housing, but a shot directly into the lens disables them and saves on ammo.
] - Look for four cameras and three guards on patrol while moving around the warehouse area before moving on. There will also be an elevated guard above the "Gates in Use" sign at the end of the alley.
- Move to the wooden door to the right of that sign and use the Locktopus by hitting left or right on the D-pad. Rotate LS until the controller starts rumbling and the light turns green. Repeat this twice more to unlock the door.
- Walk up the narrow staircase and be ready to shoot a warehouse worker on the left side of the room. Continue out the door and another security guard will be standing just to the right. Use B for a quick melee death.
- Open the door directly ahead of Joanna and pop off shots at the security guards below. Move back into the previous room and use the area as a choke point. Three guards will approach from the bottom floor and a couple from the top.
- Once the enemies have stopped shouting, open the upstairs door and use the doorway as cover. Line up shots and lean out from cover to shoot the four men on the metal walkway.
- Use Joanna's elevated position to look to the left and right just below her. There will be a few guards still hanging around downstairs behind cover objects. Locate them and head downstairs to draw them into your line of fire.
- Once out on the warehouse floor, head to the opposite side and back up a ladder near a metal dumpster. On the walkway, hang a right into the small shack and a left into the small security room.
Sabotage Armory
- Load up on new ammo in the security room and swap out weapons if you would prefer another. Also be sure to grab the frag grenades on the desk in the windowed room facing the warehouse floor.
- Before leaving the metal walkway and back down the ladder, chuck a grenade into the room with all the guns. Roll off the walkway using LB and watch the room explode. The support objective is complete.
Retrieve Briefcase
- Near the ladder there is a door leading back outside. It opens to a narrow street with tons of signs hanging from the nearby buildings. Shoot the patrolling guard directly ahead and peek around the corner to the left to shoot another security guard.
- As the second guard falls, a nearby building of guards will be alerted of your presence and come out to greet Joanna. Stay in cover by the street corner and pick off the five guards as they approach. Use a scoped weapon at first, but switch to a machine gun or shotgun when they get closer.
- Continue down the street they emerged from to find a wooden door on the right. Use the Locktopus (left or right on the D-Pad) to open the door. Shoot any remaining guards on this floor and walk around the building.
- TIP: Note the locked, red control pad to the rear of the building. That's the door control for the safe and requires a code to enter.
- At the top of the stairs, there is a wooden door to the left. Open it and immediately shoot the two guards to the right. After they fall, Joanna has to start searching the filling cabinets on the second floor to find a safe code.
- TIP: Tap A to quick search the cabinets while running around the room.
- Once you have the safe code, walk back downstairs to punch it into the pad. The safe door will open and the briefcase is sitting to the right. Pick it up with A.
Divert Enemies
- Chandra will tell Joanna to head for the subway to escape the area. Walk back outside and take a left down the slanted walkway leading into the subway. It's near the wooden door you originally entered the house through.
- Use cover at the bottom of the walkway and snipe the guard on the payphone. Repeat that process on the next corner to the right. The two guards will be patrolling the hallway.
- Move quickly around the next two corners to be faced with a locked fence. Shoot the two padlocks off the fence gate to continue. Be careful to crouch when approaching the next section to fulfill the support objective.
- Killian's men will be a level below Joanna on the far right. Stay crouched and out of their line of sight. Pull out the grenades found in the armory and chuck one into the group to start a fight. The support objective is fulfilled.
- TIP: If you already used up the grenades, you can also move along the left wall and around the platform to the right. Barely peek around the corner to shoot a goon with his back turned to you. Don't move out too far as the remaining guards will see you immediately.
Meet Up at Evac Point
- Allow the fight that erupts among the goons below to play out for a while. Use cover at the level above near the railing to keep an eye on the fight. It's also a good place to line up shots on the security guards carrying full-length shields.
- Once Joanna takes a shot, the guards will advance up the ramp to her position. Use the nearby concrete blocks for cover and shoot the guards as they run up the walkway.
- Wait until all the guards have made their move before exiting to the level below. Reload your ammo from looting their bodies and follow the snaking hallway to the right side to find a staircase leading down to a level with flickering lights.
- Walk down the stairs briefly to attract the attention of the goons below and head back up the stairs to take cover. Similar to the previous battle, use cover and line up shots on guards as they approach Joanna's position.
- Head back down the stairs and look for security guards standing in the subway car with the flickering light. Peek around the left corner at the bottom of the stairs to spot men in the wrecked cars ahead.
- Once the area is moderately clear of gunfire, make a beeline to the open subway car directly ahead. Be sure to crouch as there are enemies to the right side of the car just waiting to fire on Joanna.
- Shoot one or two of the men on the right and they will storm Joanna's position in the car. They approach from the connected car to the left, so take a position nearby and be ready to fire on the open door to the left side of the car.
- Slowly move to the end of the second car and a guard from the third car will fire on Joanna. Take him out with a close quarters weapon and move to the end of the cars.
- Be careful when exiting the cars on the right side. There are two men with scoped rifles at the upper walkway to the left of the door. Strafe in and out of the door to kill them efficiently.
- Hug the subway wall to the right and approach the open doorway. A goon wearing a vest will be standing with his gun raised at the doorway, so use cover to line up a shot on his head and hit RT to quickly kill him.
- After this happens; a second guard inside that little room as well as guards across the subway tunnel will come to life and fire on Joanna. Back up to the subway car to take out the men safely from cover.
- Walk back to the open doorway and strafe facing to the right in case anyone is hiding in the room. Strafe facing right again into the following open doorway and shoot upwards at the guard standing on the stairs.
- Continue up the stairs and across the passageway that overlooks the subway wreckage. Head back downstairs and hang a left outside the door to rejoin Jack and Ziegler at the Evac point.
- CUTSCENE: Ziegler will be seen talking to Joanna and Jack in the elevator. Ziegler attacks Jack with a purple glowing device and injects Jack's brain with some sort of information. Ziegler dies from blood loss in the elevator, but mumbles a few words about finding a doctor to help Jack.
Rooftops Escape
- BREIFING: Jack is yelling at Chandra about making the team pursue the briefcase. Chandra informs the duo about the Evac point and Jack tells Joanna to stay close.
Escape to Evac Point
- CUTSCENE: A plane flies overhead as Jack and Joanna is targeted by Killian with a sniper rifle. Killian lands a shot on Jack and Joanna leaps to safety. Jack isn't as lucky as Killian shoots out a bridge Jack's walking on.
- Joanna will be helping Jack pass through the streets below by shooting the snipers on the rooftops above. It's vital to have a scoped weapon on this level. The P9P handgun works perfectly fine.
- At the start, shoot the sniper on the far right side and run to the right on the platform to shoot the nearby sniper on the scaffolding. Look to the street below and shoot the two men approaching Jack's position.
- Look to the far left to spot a sniper on a rooftop near some red neon signs. At this point, Jack will be moving along the street and Joanna needs to change positions to protect him.
- Move along the narrow walkway to the right and down to the scaffolding to the left. Climb the ladder ahead and use the concrete wall at the corner for cover while lining up shots on the three masked men to the left.
- Turn the corner and look to the bottom of the staircase to snipe another guard below. On the far left, two shooters will appear on a rooftop and shoot at Jack. Snipe both of them before moving back up the stairs to the previous rooftop.
- Shoot the elevated sniper on the left. He will be standing near some air conditioning vents.
Jam Enemy Comms
- Use the zip line near the corner of the wooden boards to travel across the street. When landing on the opposite side, take a position near the railing to the right as an armored car is driving up on the street below with two men inside. Shoot the men and proceed up the stairs behind Joanna.
- Use the Data Thief on a red panel attached to a nearby large concrete fixture to jam the enemy communication channel. Turn to the left to grab a zip line that takes Joanna back to the concrete tube on the previous roof.
- At the end of the concrete tube, a man will be inside a building below. Shoot him through the glass ceiling and fall down to shoot a guard standing directly in front of Joanna.
Assist Jack
- Once all the surrounding enemies are dead, walk up a metal walkway to the left and wait for Jack to trigger a fire alarm to open the closed, metal door connected to a walkway over the street.
- At the end of the glass walkway, there will be a set of two wooden doors to pass through on the right. Once back outside, pick up the Jackal sniper rifle to the left and move to the ledge on the right to see Jack moving through the building, climbing from floor to floor.
- Start by shooting the two men on the bottom floor. There is a pile of explosive barrels to the left that will kill the man in the rear. As Jack starts to run to the next floor, guards will run out of a door on the right on the second floor.
- Try to pick off the two guards before Jack reaches that floor. This will allow Joanna time to shoot the four men running out to meet Jack on the third floor. Wait until the two men farthest to the right reach their position and fire on the explosive barrels.
- Shoot the other two men quickly and switch out the sniper rifle for your previous weapon. Move Joanna to the nearby zip line and press A to grab it. At the base of the zip line, hit the switch on the metal box to the left to complete the primary objective. Move to the right to grab another zip line.
Nullify Killian
- At this point, Killian will approach on a hovering attack plane. Use the construction area as cover and target your shots on the two engines on either side of the plane.
- TIP: Don't bother shooting the cockpit, as it's completely bulletproof.
- You need loads of ammo to take down the plane. There are a couple DW5 machine guns in the area. As the first engine starts to smoke, shoot at the second engine. There is a limited amount of time to complete this objective before Killian flies away.
- Stay on the move as Killian fires on your position. The plane has horrible accuracy and takes a few second to center on Joanna's position.
Open Flood Gates
- After the plane goes up in flames, move across the rooftop and look for a guard standing in a small room surrounded by large glass windows. Snipe him and move down the rooftops to a large white sensor with a blue glowing panel.
- Use the Data Thief to hack into the object and the floodgates will open. Move up the first set of metal stairs and peek over the top left to shoot three elevated guards closing in on Joanna's location.
- Move up to their section of rooftop and pick up some DW5 ammo. Peek over the rooftop with the section of missing railing to snipe two guards on a building in the distance.
- Peek over the side and look below for a guard using a magnum. Be extremely quick in taking an accurate shot, otherwise Joanna is doomed. Move down to the lower level and check the glass ceiling ahead for another shooter inside the building.
- Fall through the glass ceiling and walk down the utility stairs. At the bottom of the stairs, crouch into a metal tube and slowly walk down. When the tube ends, follow the ledge to Jack's position at a broken sewer gate below.
- CUTSCENE: Jack and Joanna are investigating the harbor area when a firefight breaks out. Killian will approach, laughing maniacally, in the plane.
Defeat Killian
- This is no walk in that park, but the strategy remains the same as the first Killian encounter. Hide behind metal objects in the area and fire on the engines of the plane.
- TIP: An excellent shooting angle for Joanna is near the skinny post with the flat metal overhang. Joanna can peek over the top without getting hurt by the plane's chain gun.
- Concentrate your fire on just one engine at first. When the engine catches on fire, Killian will start to fire rockets at Joanna's location. Use the existing cover location to avoid the blasts.
- TIP: Killian can't shoot Joanna when she is directly under the plane. Use this strategy to inflict a higher level of damage on the engines.
- Eventually Killian will start to fly lower in an attempt to burn Joanna with the fire from the engine's thrust. Run to an alternative cover location and take fire from the new position.
- Killian will also start to drop men off on the roof. When it starts to hover, fire on the engines until the doors open with the men. Joanna can shoot into the open doors to maim or perhaps kill the dataDyne guards.
- TIP: If you have it, the rocket launcher works wonders in this portion. Wait until Killian drops off troops to plenty of time to fire a rocket at the engines.
- Once the engine starts to pour out a ridiculous amount of fire, find a place to hunker down. Killian will ease the plane back up into the sky and attempt to kill Joanna with a suicidal crash. Just be on the opposite side of a cover object when that happens.
- CUTSCENE: Chandra will race up to the Evac point in the speedboat to rescue Joanna, but Jack won't be so lucky. He will be surrounded by dataDyne guards and taken into custody.
Mansion Infiltration
- BRIEFING: Chandra doesn't have much information on finding Jack's location from the authorities. Fortunately Jack's wearing a tracking beacon. His global location leads Joanna to an extremely powerful leader named Zhang Li. Chandra recommends that Joanna take a stealthy approach into Zhang Li's compound.
Disrupt Security Comms
- CUTSCENE: The camera pans over a cliff side and eventually to Joanna climbing up the side of the cliff. When Joanna reaches the top, she yanks a guard down to fall to his death.

- Equip the P9P and move across the snow covered bridge near the waterfall ahead. Travel up the mountain a few feet and turn around to snipe a guard in yellow-lit tower to the right side.
- Turn around to peer through the circular doorway and snipe the two dataDyne guards in the tower on the right and the guard in the tower on the far left. Move through the doorway to snipe the patrolling guard walking away from Joanna as well as his friend walking towards Joanna.
- Walk over their bodies to pick up a security radio. This is the fastest way to disrupt the comms, but there is a trick to completing it correctly. Dependent on the attitude of the person answering, Joanna has to pick an appropriate response.
- If the respondent thinks you are with maintenance, choose Bluff. If he sounds friendly, choose Charm. If he sounds shaken up, choose Threaten. If Joanna is correct, the lines will go down. Otherwise the guards are immediately sent to your position.
- NOTE: Without the radio, you can visit the guard tower that has a radio antenna poking out of it. Just flick the switch in the tower and communications will go down.
Activate Satellite Server
- If you are seeking a sniper rifle, use the Locktopus on a guard tower and grab a rifle from a fallen sniper. Otherwise, find your way to the far left of the main castle wall and climb up.
- At the top of the stairs, Joanna will see a patrolling guard walking along the wall. Take him out with a silenced P9P headshot and look down the wall to see two more guards walking in Joanna's direction. Shoot them quickly and silently.
- If a guard happens to see you, the entire force in the courtyard below will storm up the stairs. Otherwise, crouch and stick to the indented section to the left after coming off the staircase. Quietly try to snipe the guards standing in the snow to the left and right.
- Shoot the guard at the main door last and continue to scan the area for more hostiles. Once the situation seems quelled, head to the center of the wall to grab some armor.
- Stay on the wall and continue to the opposite side of the wall. There will be a small control panel to turn on the satellite. Click A to activate it. Walk back to the opposite end of the wall to interact with the red terminal and activate the server.
Infiltrate Mansion
- Leave the wall and approach the doorway of the main mansion. Shoot the lens of the camera covering the entrance. There are two ways to get inside; using the intercom or using a Locktopus on the door. The intercom requires another response tailored to the guard who answers.
- The same rules apply for the response, Charm him if he's friendly, Bluff him if he's knowledgeable or Intimidate him if he's scared. If correct, the door will open and Joanna will gain access to the mansion.
Acquire Voice Scan
- Walk through the entrance to the mansion and hang a left up the stairs. Take a right and look for the camera down the passageway on the right side. Shoot the lens and look over the railing into the courtyard.
- Use the D-Pad to switch to the Audioscope binoculars Joanna used at the nightclub. Watch as two members of the facility have a conversation and lock onto one of them with RT to record their voice.
- Move left to shoot another camera in the room with the overhead orange lamps. It's on the far end over a stone doorway. Move into line of sight of the doorway to see a second camera about 10 feet from the first. Shoot it before moving through the first doorway.
- At the second stone doorway, peek out to the right of the room to see another camera. Shoot it first and holster the pistol before walking through the closed door. Joanna can't be seen with a gun; otherwise the guards will go ballistic.
- Pass the guard on the left and walk along the overhead wooden walkway until you hit a room with red lasers. Take a right down the stairs and another right punching through a plate glass window.
- Walk up to the guard on the right and choose any response to his question. Joanna will use the voice recording to gain access to the main arena. Click A to open the door.
- CUTSCENE: Joanna will walk into a room with a glowing object in the middle. Zhang Li will be rambling in the chamber and notice Joanna. She will bluff her way into challenging Zhang Li's daughter in a game of VR Deathmatch. Zhang Li will announce the match and the players will get in their VR chambers.
Defeat Mai Hem
- Once the fight begins, head for the first stone pillar you see and use it as a cover object. Pop out only to shoot Mai Hem running wildly across the room opposite Joanna. Try to time your shots between her machine gun reloads.
- When Mai Hem splits into a million little pieces the first time, immediately leave cover and run downstairs to pick up the M60 in the middle of the arena. Stay on the move as Joanna reloads the weapon.
- A stone statue will be chasing Joanna at this point (they only have melee attacks). Either blast it with the M60 or use the pistol to save M60 ammo. It will run directly at Joanna at all times, so headshots are very easy to achieve with the pistol.
- TIP: When low on ammunition, ammo boxes will appear in the middle of the arena.
- Mai Hem reappears once the stone statue crumbles. She will be running around the entire room at this point, so use the P9P to tag her with shots in zoomed mode. Try to stick to the upper level as it provides the best view and more protection for Joanna.
- When she dematerializes again, two stone statues will attack Joanna. Use this time to reload on pistol ammo in the center of the ring and attempt to kill the second statue up on the ledge.
- After the second statue falls, switch to the M60. Mai Hem will call on copies of herself to do her bidding, but they are easily destroyed with a couple headshots from the M60. Her clones drop S-Dragon machine guns if you are already low on M60 ammo.
- TIP: Use the grenades on the S-Dragon machine gun to destroy Mai Hem's minions even quicker.
- Once the clone army has been defeated, Mai Hem will activate two more stone statues to chase after Joanna. This is a great time to rummage around the floor and collect S-Dragon ammunition for the final bout with Mai Hem. Use up the pistol ammo on the statues and try to stick to the top of the ledge again.
- When Mai Hem reappears, launch grenade after grenade at her location. She will eventually scatter into pieces again and Joanna will be able to leave the VR chamber.
- CUTSCENE: Joanna will win the match and Zhang Li's daughter will collapse on the floor. Zhang Li will be seen tending to his daughter while Joanna slips out a nearby door.
Laboratory Rescue
- BRIEFING: Chandra will send Joanna info on a scientist on the inside of the facility that's providing them with access. She also informs Joanna of silver and gold keycards needed to gain access to certain portions of the facility.
- NOTE: This level is much easier if you bring a silenced weapon, such as the P9P, to avoid any alarms.
Access Containment Facility
- CUTSCENE: Three guards are seen cracking jokes before Zhang Li walks in on the group. Zhang Li shuffles off the Jack Dark's location and Joanna pops out of the elevator roof to put a hurting on the dataDyne guard below.
- Hang a right around the first corner and head towards the door. The door leads to the second floor walkway of a large room. There are three dataDyne guards on the walkway; one standing directly across from the door, one patrolling from right to left along the walkway and the last standing in the far right corner.
- Snipe all three with headshots and proceed left towards two red explosive barrels. Look over the railing to see a guard standing in front of a red striped door. Shoot him in the head and follow the walkway around the room on the left.
- About halfway across the walkway, look across the room to the right. There is a guard standing in front of a locked door. Kill him and continue along the walkway to the unlocked door with the green stripe.
Shutdown Power Generator
- Walk through the green striped door and shoot a guard standing directly ahead in the lighted area. From the overhead ledge, shoot the patrolling guard below as well.
- There is no alarm in this section, so feel free to use the barrels on the floor below to cause a chain reaction for killing the remaining three guards in the room. Otherwise, fire away as they charge your position on the winding staircase to the left.
- Once all the guards are disposed of, walk down the stairs and through the middle of the room to pick up the Night vision goggle. These are about to come in very handy. Walk to the far end of the room and hang a right out the door to creep down the stairs.
- Two guards are standing over the power generator. Peek around the curved stone wall and make an attempt to quickly charge their position. It's vital to kill both quickly before any alarms are activated.
- Once both guards are dead, look to the left upon entering the room. Use the D-Pad to switch to one of the gadgets you brought. The Locktopus will simply deactivate the power while the demo kit will blow up the entire terminal.
Neutralize Gas Defenses
- Once the power generator is down, switch to the night vision goggles. Unfortunately the gas defenses have kicked on and Joanna is slowly losing life. Look to the back of the room and shoot open a small metal grate that leads to a vent shaft.
- Crouch into the shaft and take a left into the large tunnel upon the exit. Continue climbing the tunnel until you reach a giant fan. Turn left to crawl into another vent shaft.
- Upon exiting, move to the right to find the scientist in the environmental protection suit walking around the lab. Walk up to the scientist and point Joanna's gun at his head to force the gas shutoff.
- TIP: You can also use the Locktopus on the ventilation control to shut off the gas. It's in the little hallway on the way to the scientist.
- Smack the scientist in the back of the head to avoid any alarms and look for a blue glowing keycard on a nearby workbench by the spinning globe. This is the Silver keycard for access to other portions of the facility. Walk up the curved staircase to exit the room.
Disable Tracking System
- Walk out the door and travel to the left around the metal walkway. Walk up to the red stripped door on the opposite side and hit A to open it. Joanna will be inside a server room.
- Look to the right. A frightened scientist is working on a server. Smack him by pressing B and turn around to pick up the gold keycard on a desk inside a glass office.
- Head to the right of the glass office and up some neon blue stairs. Head to the opposite side of the room at the top of the stairs and down a set of stairs near a tan wall.
- Turn the corner to the right to see the green tracking system on the ceiling. Pump bullets into the four green, pointy corners of the device to destroy it.
- With the tracking system down, head back out the way Joanna entered the server rooms. Circle to the right around the metal walkway, and head straight on the far side of the room rather than going back into the gas main laboratory.
Locate and Rescue Jack
- On the opposite side of the room with the metal walkway, follow a winding, narrow staircase down into a room with a locked red door on the opposite end. Use the control pad to activate the door with the new gold keycard by pressing A.
- Just inside the door, quickly attack Joanna to the crates on the left for cover. Try to pick off as many guards as possible with the silence pistol before they sound the alarm.
- Once the alarm goes off, you have a choice of staying in this position to have the guards move to your position or moving back into the lab to turn off the alarm. Without the tracking system, it's hard for anyone to get a bead on Joanna.
- Once the ground level dataDyne guards have been quelled, you have a choice of climbing the scaffolding in the center of the room to progress or taking the freight elevator to the far left of the room in a yellow-lit tunnel.
- The elevator is preferable due to lack of exposure when moving upward. Just be ready to hug the yellow wall to the right once the elevator hits the top floor. There is a guard manning an armored stationary machine gun on a landing to the right.
- Peek out along the curved wall to snipe the guard through the opening in the stationary gun. Once he's dead, move to the left and push a green button to lower a section of metal walkway.
- Creep along the walkway to spot another guard to the left around the rock face of the cavern. Snipe him quickly before the he gets a bead on Joanna.
- Again, move slowly along the walkway to the right to catch another stationary gunner rotating his weapons to the far right. Snipe him and move around the center portion of the massive tower to find a circular, white neon staircase leading upwards.
- Follow it up to the top to gain access to the prisoner's cages. Look around the room to find the panel controlling the camera on Jack's cage and open up the orange bars with a second panel to the right. (You can also hack the bars open with the Data Thief when beside the actual cage)
- Head back downstairs and toward the green-lit door across the room. This leads to the actual prisoner's cages. Take note of the location of the stationary machine gun near the door.
- The room is filled with magnum wielding female bodyguards. The safest course of action is to switch to a noisy gun, open the door and pop a few shots off. Run back to the stationary gun and be ready for an onslaught of deadly enemies.
- The stationary gun has unlimited ammo, so feel free to fire on the closed door. Once it opens, expect to shoot about eight to 10 guards charging Joanna's location.
- Peek inside the room after the guards stop heading out and check for any remaining goons. If there are still enemies inside, repeat the stationery gun trick. If the room is clear, head to the prison cells and grab Jack Dark.
- CUTSCENE: Joanna finds Jack and gives him a hand. Jack is rambling nonsense, claiming to have crazed nightmares from Ziegler's tool. Joanna grabs Jack to lead him out the prison.
River Extraction
- BRIEFING: Chandra reestablishes contact and Jack demands an exit strategy. Chandra gives them a plan that involves a blown out wall and a hovercraft escape.
Escape to Airbase
- CUTSCENE: Guards are seen running to Joanna and Jack's location. Mai Hem taunts Joanna over the loudspeaker. Joanna tosses Jack a gun and they make their escape.

- Upon taking control of Joanna after the cutscene, walk forward on the metal walkway and hang a right up the nearby stairs to man the stationary turret. Aim for the unlocked door ahead and fire on the five dataDyne guards as they attempt to kill Jack Dark.
- Leave the turret and peek out the unlocked door ahead from either side. Several guards remain on the main tower firing from protected locations. Use the zoom on the P9P pistol to pop off rounds into their unprotected skulls.
- TIP: You can also run for the stationary turret just outside the door, but clear a few guards outside before making the run.
- Cross the metal bridge ahead and look for more guards on the right side of the tower. They should be standing quietly if you have been using the silencer on the P9P.
- Once you have reached the tower portion, walk back up that white neon circular staircase to the control room.
Sabotage Bridge
- The bridge has been raised to stop Jack and Joanna's escape attempt. In the prison control room above, look for a black and green pad with a little joystick. Use the Data Thief to hack into that panel and lower the bridge.
- TIP: Without the Data Thief, Joanna will have to shoot the small bridge control box originally used to lower the bridge on the previous level.
- Once the bridge has been lowered, shoot some rounds into the panel to disable bridge control and raise the bridge from the cells to the tower.
- Take the stairs back down, but be ready for dataDyne guards waiting at the open door over the newly lowered bridge. Use cover to pick off each guard as well as the magnum carrying female bodyguards.
- Once the guards have been quelled, Jack will tear through the open door and along the hallway. Follow him into a firing range with a narrow corridor. If you have the demo kit, Joanna will have to attach the explosives on the cracked wall ahead. Otherwise, Jack will attach the explosives while Joanna covers his position.
- DataDyne guards will flow in from the door you entered from and a door on the same wall to the far end of the firing range. Cover both doors from the far left wall and use the barriers between the firing booths as cover.
- Do not immediately walk out after the explosives blow open the wall. Instead, lean up against the wall as a cover object to snipe the three guards on the stationary machine guns and the guards shooting at Jack from the ground level.
- TIP: You can also run to the gray metal crate ahead to the right to get a closer shot on the stationary machine guns.
- Once outside, look to the right to shoot a fourth stationary gun and check the ground level for two patrolling guards on the right side. Look to the two guard towers on the right to snipe an enemy in each as well.
- Cross the snow covered yard and move up the set of stairs directly across from the blown open wall in the firing range. Be careful of another stationary machine gunner to the far right corner of the area.
- At the top of the stairs, a couple guards will fire on Joanna from the small building directly ahead of her and look for two guards manning stationary guns to the right. Chandra will inform Joanna that she's reached the motor pool.
Incapacitate Hovercraft
- Drop off the wall and into the motor pool area. Hug the left side of the area to avoid being spotted by shooters and feel free to run over the semicircular buildings rather than around them.
- Pass a field of red explosive gas tanks and walk up the stairs on the far wall. The control to open up the gate Jack's been yammering about is in a small tower just up the stairs and to the right.
- Continue along the left side of the top of the guard wall to reach the first stationary turret. Fire rockets from the turret into the hanger to the left. It's the semicircle shaped building in the distance. The first two hovercrafts will explode after several rockets.
- TIP: After destroying the first hovercraft, be very careful of the two female bodyguards with magnums in the exploded hanger. Peek just over the wall or use the nearby guard tower to snipe them from cover.
Steal Rocket Launcher
- Since there's no angle on the second hovercraft from the perimeter wall, continue along the perimeter wall to the left and drop down to Jack's position in the first hanger.
- Climb up the rear of the hovercraft and swap out your current weapon for the rocket launcher attached on the stationary mount. Walk to the hanger with the two damaged hovercrafts to spot a third at the rear of the hanger on the right.
- Fire a rocket or two at it and both objectives will be complete. Hop back in the hovercraft near Jack to make your exit from the facility. Head out the open gate door to the right and travel along the passageway.
- To control the hovercraft, use LS to thrust toward specific directions and spin RS to modify the camera.
Power Down Radar
- Jack will be firing from the turret mounted on the rear of the vehicle. Once exiting into the open area, keep moving in the hovercraft to avoid enemy fire from the radar facility. Jack is fairly accurate with the rockets for an A.I. controlled character.
- When an enemy hovercraft appears, try to move to a location without many enemies otherwise Jack will fire on everyone but the hovercraft. Rotate your craft around it to get the best angles for shots and pay attention to Jack's firing direction as you move the craft.
- The yellow dots on Joanna's radar in the right corner indicate the power stations that have to be destroyed. Move the hovercraft around the building and Jack will fire on all the power stations automatically.
- TIP: If having a problem with enemy fire, strafe the hovercraft from left to right slightly while Jack takes his shots. He will be more accurate and the enemy guards won't last very long.
- Once all the power stations have been blown up, Chandra will tell the duo to move onto the next radar facility. Take a stone passageway through the rear of the area to find the second facility.
- Guards will shoot from bridges and the shore as Joanna progresses to the next facility, but don't stop to fight them. Continue toward the yellow dots on Joanna's radar.
- Repeat the strategy from the previous facility. Hover back and forth across the front of the facility allowing Jack to fire numerous rockets at the building.
- TIP: There is a fresh hovercraft in a nearby hanger when entering the area. Switch off to the new hovercraft if Joanna's ride is showing serious damage.
- Once all the power stations have been destroyed, Chandra will inform the duo that dataDyne cannot track them anymore. Look on Joanna's radar for a new red dot and backtrack to the previous area. Beware of mines in the water.
- A new gate will be open, but a hovercraft waits ahead. Drive directly at the enemy hovercraft and position your craft to give Jack a decent line of fire. A couple rocket blasts will take care of. Continue through the stone tunnel to escape to the airbase.
- CUTSCENE: Jack and Joanna will escape to the airbase only to be challenged by Mai Hem. Jack runs out into the gunfire to sacrifice himself for Joanna's escape in a nearby plane. Mai Hem executes Jack and Joanna screams out. Joanna uses the fire from the engine thrust to burn Mai Hem alive.
Trinity Infiltration
- BRIEFING: Chandra consoles Joanna about the loss of Jack. Chandra thinks Joanna should find out why Ziegler's research was so important. Joanna is being sent to find Dr. Carroll and get some answers.
Eliminate The Brothers
- CUTSCENE: Joanna will approach the facility by sea and be confronted by two western-themed, bounty hunters only known as The Brothers.
- Take cover immediately behind the nearby metal crates to the rear of Joanna. The wooden crates in front of her provide little protection from The Brothers.
- The Brothers will set up on the opposite side of the room with very deadly laptop guns. Don't bother taking the time to zoom in for a shot, as the laptop guns will tear Joanna apart.
- Watch the Brothers find cover spots and wait for their heads to pop up. Shoot them quickly and rapidly in the head. Otherwise The Brothers will ditch their laptop guns into turret mode and attempt to kill you with magnums.
- Finish off the Brothers with patient, calculated shots from cover behind the metal crates and check the gun lockers on the left to reload on ammo.
- TIP: There is a pair of X-Ray specs in a gun locker to the left. They are absolutely fantastic for much of this level. Hit left or right on the D-Pad to activate them.
- Wait for the bridge to extend and large hanger door to open. Joanna will have a lovely view of the rocket ship preparing to launch. Continue to the opposite side of the room.
Infiltrate Facility
- On the opposite side of the bridge, there is a staircase leading up to the left. Prepare for two dataDyne guards to pop out of the room above. Use the cover below to take both men out with headshots.
- Head up the stairs and peek inside to see two more men waiting for Joanna in the right hallway as you enter. After shooting both men, walk to the lift in the room and press A to head upwards.
- At the top level, take a left and fire on the oblivious men working in the control room. With the X-Ray specs on, back away from the door and watch the two skeletons charge Joanna's position inside the elevator room. Take them both out with any machine gun.
- Strafe into the room facing to the left and look for other guards perched on the opposite side. Specifically look for snipers with jackals and use the scoped P9P to take them out quickly.
- Pick up a nearby jackal in an ammo locker and look for a door on the right side of the room leading out to a metal walkway. Check the left and right towers to the distance for two snipers on rooftops. There is also a sniper in the middle of the main platform near ground level. Shoot all three.
- There are two ways to handle the locked door at the base of the area. Joanna can return into the control room and hit a switch inside to unlock the door on the cylindrical room. You then have exactly one minute to get back out to the walkway and ride down the zip line to the door below.
- Alternatively, just take the zip line down immediately and use a demo kit to blow a hole in the wall. The crack is to the right of the locked door.
- Once inside, take the lift down and into the facility.
Pinpoint Dr. Carroll
- At the bottom of the lift, two guards will be chatting to the right. Take them out quickly and head down the hallway. There will be a guard patrolling ahead and walking toward Joanna. Shoot him from cover to the left or right of the doorway.
- Once inside the large warehouse area, look to the elevated platform on the right for a guard patrolling a section of walkway.
- Head to the downed guard on the elevated platform and look down the long hallway to the left. There will be a couple guards standing at attention further down the hall. Use the silenced P9P to keep Joanna safe from more unwanted attention.
- Travel to their position and there will be two guards patrolling separately. The X-Ray specs work really well for pinpointing their position. One guard is on the same level as Joanna walking to the left and the other walks up and down the slanted platform ahead.
- At the top of that slanted platform, two guards will appear in the right passageway. Use the cover of the nearby doorway if needed.
- Turn away from the passageway to find a terminal that can be used to locate Dr. Carroll.
Manipulate Personnel
- Quietly backtrack the way you walked into this large room. Back at the elevator, take the passageway to the left this time. Look for a guard patrolling this section of hallway.
- Joanna will see another elevator on the left. Use it to travel upwards to the break room area. Hang a right out of the elevator and be careful of wandering guards. Use the X-Ray specs to track their locations.
- Opposite from the break room, there is a small terminal that interacts with the Father A.I. on the loudspeaker. Access this terminal by hitting A.
- This is another D-Pad response scenario. If it says "System instability detected", choose Bluff. If it says "at your service", choose threaten. If it says "Welcome friend", use Charm.
- Repeat this process on the labs in the area to drive the scientists out of the facility. Also beware of roving scientists, as they won't hesitate to pull an alarm on you.
- Once enough labs have been disrupted, the objective will be complete.
Escort Dr. Carroll To Lab
- Take the elevator back down to the original floor and continue to the left.
- Follow the hallway to a large room and peek into the door to look for the first camera on the left. Continue heading down the left side and look for any cameras mounted to the wall supports on the left and right. There will be at least two more in Joanna's path.
- On the opposite side of this large storage room, continue through the open doorway and down the hall. There will be a swirling ramp moving down with three guards standing at attention or patrolling.
- At the bottom, move through the unlocked green door and hang a right. It's very much like a maze in this section of the facility. Take the next right and the following left to walk down a level.
- Inside the room, prepare to run to the opposite side and kill the scientists before they reach the alarm button. Once they are dead or unconscious, go chat with Dr. Carroll in the middle of the room.
- Follow Carroll up the ramp to the right and through a maze of passageways. Eventually Joanna will reach Dr. Carroll's laboratory.
- CUTSCENE: Joanna demands answers from Dr. Carroll. Zeigler and Dr. Carroll where working on some kind of hieroglyphic transcription. Surprisingly, Chandra shows up. She's been double-crossing the Darks the entire time. Chandra shoots Carroll and gets ready to kill Joanna. Suddenly, an operative for Daniel Carrington busts through the wall to rescue Ms. Dark.
Trinity Escape
- BRIEFING: The squad leader wants to help Joanna escape, but needs Zeigler's research. He informs her of the upcoming dataDyne forces and their chances of escaping alive.
- NOTE: This is one of the few missions there a silenced weapon isn't worthwhile. Equip Joanna with an S-Dragon and a sub machine gun. There should be plenty of ammo for each along the way.
- TIP: If you are quick with solving the puzzle on the Demo Kit, be sure to equip it before the mission starts. There are three instances that require the use of the demo kit under heavy fire.
Download Zeigler's Program

- Essentially Joanna and the Carrington Squad have to escape the facility. The blond squad leader is very resistant to enemy fire, but his teammates can be a bit fragile. The good thing is that only Blondie, otherwise known at Jonathan, needs to survive.
- Follow the squad down the passageway and be ready to fire on two guards standing in the middle of the next passage. Jonathan will dart into the CPU room to the right to download Zeigler's software.
- Joanna is tasked with keeping Jonathan alive during the hacking process. Take a position between the open doorway and Jonathan. Watch the doorway for one single guard to kill.
- Keep the gun trained on the door, but there should not be any more dataDyne guards on approach. After about 30 seconds, Jonathan will have downloaded the program.
- Walk straight out of the CPU room through the newly unlocked door. Hang the first right and an immediate left down the ramp.
Escape to Evac Point 2
- At the bottom of the ramp, look to the right into a server room. There is a guard hiding behind the first server. Pop a grenade from the super dragon just to the right of the server and he will fall.
- Just inside the room to the left, there will be two guards with their guns directed at the open doorway. Strafe into the server room facing to the left and fire first. You can also use the server to the right as a cover object.
- Walk up the ramp on the right of the server room, but carefully peek over the top of the ramp. There is a guard in the open doorway with his gun trained in Joanna's direction. The zoom function on the super dragon works great.
- Another guard will spring into action when his buddy falls and run right into your line of fire. After popping him in the head, strafe into the room facing left to kill the third man in the room.
- Strafe back out of the room and move forward through the green, unlocked door. Sneak up to the metal plated side of the railing to fire on the six men below. This is another great place to use the super dragon grenade launcher for group kills.
- Backtrack to the server room and take a left into the room Joanna just killed the three men in. Walk to the left and take a right into the unlocked door. Walk straight forward to the first demo point.
Cut Off Pursuit
- The idea at the demo points is to use an explosive to blow up a section of the tunnel. This seals the blast doors and effectively cuts off the pursuing dataDyne forces.
- If you equipped the demo kit, immediately spin around and hit the D-Pad to pull it out. If you didn't equip the demo kit, then one of the men in the Carrington squad will pause to set the explosives. Joanna would be on defense at that point.
- TIP: If you have the demo kit, try to reach the explosive locations before the rest of the team. The enemy forces won't start spawning to flood your position until the entire team arrives. If you can solve the majority of the demo kit puzzle before that happens, this portion will be much smoother.
- Guards will appear from the way you came and the nearby unlocked door that happens to be the exit. Shoot quickly and keep checking both directions frantically if Carrington's men are handling the demo kit.
- If you killed all the guards up to this point, there shouldn't be any dataDyne guards filing in from the way you came.
- Back up after the charge is set and the blast door will seal. Head through the open door to the left of the blast door and to the elevator on the left. Your team will file into the elevator. When the last man enters, the elevator button will change from red to green. Hit A to move the lift upward.
- At the next level, hang a right off the lift and follow the passageway to the next intersection. Look to the left and use the scope to zoom in on a guard to the far end of the passageway. Shoot him and backtrack to the intersection.
- Hang a left and follow the white-lit bridge through two unlocked doors. Joanna will be overlooking one of the large warehouse rooms seen in the previous level. Crouch up to the nearby metal plating on the railing and use cover to fire on the guards below.
- Five guards will also fire from the room to the left just across the narrow bridge. Use cover to blast shots into the room. Carrington's men should help here as well.
- Pass over the bridge and through the room. Stop to shoot the camera hanging over the doorway directly in front of Joanna. Walk down the ramp and back up into the room with the vending machine at the far end.
- Pass over the narrow walkway and into the green unlocked door. Continue straight through the next hallways free of enemies. Joanna will pass a broken elevator on the left and into another demo kit intersection.
- Use the same strategy as the last and cover the man placing the demo kit. If you killed the majority of the guards in the large warehouse area, there shouldn't be much, if any, resistance.
- After the demo kit is set, follow the men into a narrow intersection and take a left into a room with three guards. You may have to use the doorway for cover or strafe through the area.
- Hang a right and peek to the left of the next room for a guard standing at attention. Shoot him, but swing quickly right and use cover in the doorway to kill the two men on the far end of the room to the right.
- Backtrack to the previous intersection and follow the ramp down, then back up. Joanna will enter a large circular room with a blinding white light in the middle. Take a right into this room and follow the walkway to the next room on the right.
- Before entering, use cover on either side of the passageway entrance to pop the two guards standing in the hallway ahead. Follow the passage, but be prepared to shoot two men in the room to the left that's designed like the first level. Circle around the room and enter the green, unlocked door.
- Take an immediate left and Joanna will approach the final demo kit location. Once the final blast door has been sealed, your team's exit has been secured. Follow the only passageway to another large warehouse room ahead.
- Strafe in the room facing right to shoot a waiting guard. Guards will be firing on Joanna from the left across the room as well. Crouch and move to the metal plating on the railing for protection.
- TIP: This is a very easy place to accidentally kill a friendly teammate as they run in front of Joanna frequently. Be sure to check your line of fire when in zoomed mode.
- Use scoped mode on the super dragon to fire on the majority of the enemies floating around this room. As soon as the enemies below and above on the left have been eliminated, cross over to hug the elevated position on the left.
- This walkway has excellent cover and allows Joanna to line up great shots on the guards below. Use it to kill the majority of the guards below.
- Backtrack to get off the landing and move down below. Keep to the left side of the large room and make your way to the opposite end. Walk through the final two doors to hop on the elevator that takes Joanna to ground level.
Secure Launch Pad
- Once on the elevator, press A to rise up. At the top of the lift, hang back to allow Carrington's men to initiate the assault. Stay in cover by the door or outside on a metal crate.
- Watch the battle ensue and fire off headshots on dataDyne's guards. Beware of the target reticle, as Carrington's men will show up as green rather than red.
- Fire on the stationary gunners to allow Carrington's plane to land. There is one near Joanna's location as well as another near the landing zone.
- There are also two guards on jetpacks in the area. Use the grenades on the super dragon to make short work of the first and use the zoom function to fire on the second. Aim for the head.
- After clearing the area of about 10 guards, the plane will finally land. Make your way to the bird and hop in to end the level.
- CUTSCENE: The drop ship is seen flying away with Carrington's men. Jonathan contacts Daniel Carrington while giving Joanna little answers. The hologram feed allows Joanna to chat with Carrington directly. He informs her that the information gained in Joanna's extraction have allowed them to locate dataDyne forces in the Amazon.
Jungle Storm
- BRIEFING: Carrington orders Joanna to avoid taking revenge on Mai Hem. The plane carrying Joanna gets hit and starts to crash. Carrington orders Joanna to defend the drop ship from dataDyne's forces.
- NOTE: Bring the Data Thief on this mission. It's an invaluable tool that will help disable a new form of spider-bots more efficiently.
Defend Drop ship
- CUTSCENE: The drop ship will take fire from dataDyne forces below and make an emergency landing in the jungles of Peru.
- This is the toughest level in the game and lengthy as well. From Joanna's starting position, look to the left for a gray statue against a rock face. At all times, use the statue as protection against the assault on the downed drop ship.
- Enemies will approach from the left of the statue, walking down a hill. Look for weapon muzzle flashes to pinpoint enemy position. The armor of the dataDyne guards is extremely tough to spot in the thickest portions of the brush.
- TIP: If you are running low on ammo, use the grenade launcher on the super dragon to areas that enemies congregate before running out to grab the ammo from dead dataDyne guards. The daze caused by the grenade blast may buy you enough time to stock back up.
- Joanna will have to kill about 15 to 20 guards before the drop ship is safe to leave alone. Once the objective is cleared, walk back to the drop ship and collect the thermal goggles from the pilot.
- TIP: If Joanna's health is low, restart the level and make a second attempt. She is going to need every sliver of health to finish the mission.
Breach dataDyne Dig Site
- Click on the goggles with the D-Pad and walk up the path that the dataDyne forces where previously approaching from. Enemies will show up on the HUD as glowing bright red.
- TIP It's also a great idea to switch to a silenced weapon like the P9P for tromping through the jungle. The less sound Joanna makes in the jungle, the longer she will live.
- Slowly approach the first red glow in the clearing ahead. It's a guard working on a spider-bot sensor. Take him out with a headshot otherwise the spider-bots will wake up and make Joanna's life miserable.
- Approach the first spider-bot sensor and whip out the Data Thief. The Data Thief allows Joanna to disable all the sensors at once rather than one at a time.
- If you didn't bring the Data Thief, then you have to use the demo kit to blow the first sensor up. There are two remaining sensors far ahead in the level and are troubling to take out. Their location will be pointed out later.
- Continue through the thick jungle and look for a crumbling structure to the left. Cross the path and take cover on the outside wall. Just inside the building, there is a guard standing at attention. Pop him in the head with the silenced P9P.
- Look to the right of the structure to see a guard on the ground across the path. Wait for him to stand and take another headshot. Walk inside the structure and up the short staircase. Look right to shoot a guard with his back to Joanna.
- Walk back down the stairs and exit to the right. There is another building up the hill to the left. Run inside and creep up the stairs to spot a guard on a wooden walkway.
- Remaining silent during this portion is crucial. Move to the top of the stairs and quickly shoot a guard watching from a window to the left. Use the cover of the huts for protection and pop out to shoot the two men below on the right.
- Follow the wooden walkway straight ahead to reach a guard standing in a small room by himself. Shoot him and turn around to use the stone doorway as cover to shoot the men to the building on the left.
- TIP: If low on ammo, head back out on the wooden walkway and take the first left. Take the next left into a shack with a variety of weaponry inside.
- Otherwise, climb up the ladder in the circular stone room. Turn immediately to the right to shoot a guard inside the room. Also be wary of enemy line of sight from the open doorway to the left.
- Turn on the thermal goggles and peek out the open doorway to find a second guard in the next building. You should be able to see a sliver of his head to place an accurate headshot.
- Walk through the second building and back out into the jungle. Hand a left around the corner and creep around the head of the statue in the still water. Use thermal goggles to find a guard to the right waist deep in the water.
- Hug the left wall and peer around the giant pile of stacked rocks to shoot another startled guard. Continue around the left wall to see another guard to the far left perched behind a rock.
Rescue Drop ship Pilot
- Carrington contacts you about searching for the drop ship pilot. Move to the right side of the swamp and creep around until you see guards on the thermals in between two rock faces.
- Shoot the lookout at the very top of the ridge, and then concentrate on the guards standing on the hill. Use the scope on the P9P to accurate place shots into their skull.
- Walk up the hill and hug the left wall. You will take a near 180-degree turn around a rock face on the left. Pass the head of the statue and creep around the right corner to stop the first guard.
- Move very cautiously though this section. A misstep could cost you the entire mission. Scan through the brush directly ahead to and wait for the target reticle to turn red. Pop the guard a few times then slowly move around the corner.
- There are two guards to the right with machine guns targeting your position. Use strafe and some very accurate aim to kill both or use the thermals to find their positions in the thick brush.
- To the far right side, there are two guards standing in front of the path to the downed pilot. Use the cover in the swamp to kill them quickly. The stone head works very well.
- Head up the path and creep around the corner to the right. Use thermal goggles and crouch to get the best angle on the four elevated guards. Feel free to use a machine gun on them. There's no more point in a silencer.
- The pilot will get up and start running, but the battle isn't over. Walk around the next corner and be prepared for a grenade blast on the left. Peek around the upcoming hill to the left to pick off another guard,
- Once the pilot is reunited with Joanna, six guards will appear at the burning drop ship wreckage. Find cover immediately and patiently wait for the best shots.
Steal Jetpack
- Continue past the wreckage to see a series of red glowing landmines near a broken wall on the left. If you used the demo kit on the first spider-bot sensor, you can find the remaining two sensors in these ruins. Avoid the mines at all costs, otherwise the spider bots will come out to say hello.
- If you used the Data Thief on the sensor, then feel free to shoot the land mines. Travel through the ruins and continue up the mountain path.
- As Carrington warns you about upcoming guards, slowly creep around the next corner and look to the left to spot five guards around a jetpack device. Be wary of any guards that toss a grenade your way.
- Use strafe to slide out and pop shots off at the guards. They tend to cluster together, so use up a clip of ammo when that happens.
- Once the guards are dead, peek around the bridge to the right to see two guards hovering over the rope bridge on jetpacks. Use the right stone wall for great protection and slowly slip out to crack shots on the first jetpack guard.
- It nearly takes a clip of RCP-90 ammo to bring each of them down. Take your time and plan each shot.
- Once both guards have been dispatched, look across the ridge to shoot a regular guard on foot. Once he is dead, hop in the jetpack.
- To control the jetpack, click A to enter and leave the jetpack. RB allows Joanna to switch into flying mode, RT fires the mounted guns and LT controls the upward thrust.
- Once inside the jetpack, the remainder of the level becomes a breeze. Follow the path over the bridge and fly high around the winding path of the ravine. Use thermal goggles to quickly target upcoming enemies in the ruins. Also use the on-screen radar at the ruins to dispatch the enemy guards efficiently.
- Once at the final section of the ruins, hop out of the jetpack and walk to the end of the tunnel to end the level.
- CUTSCENE: Joanna will reach the dig site in the jungles of Peru. The camera will pan over the giant temple.
Temple Surveillance
- BRIEFING: Carrington informs Joanna of a strange energy signature inside the temple as well as heavy lifting gear in the area. Joanna is ordered to sabotage the equipment in the area and plant a tracking device on the device in the temple.
- NOTE: Take some form of explosives with you on this level.
Plant Tracking Device
- CUTSCENE: The level opens with Joanna seen spying on two dataDyne scientists talking about the Star People and a mysterious source of power known as the Graal.
- From Joanna's opening position, walk through the first temple doorway and strafe right. The large open room has a guard patrolling toward her direction, usually on the right side.
] - After shooting the guard, check out the pit up ahead. Joanna will face these wooden board walkways several times during the level. Do not simply walk over them, as Joanna will fall into a pit of nasty spikes.
- The fastest way to get across is to roll over them by hitting LB. You can also crouch and slowly creep over the boards to safety on the opposite side.
- Walk into the narrow stone hallway opposite of the original entrance and strafe around the upcoming corner to shoot two scientists in yellow suits.
- Follow the passage until you see a door on the left. Go into cover by the door and pick off the scientists and guards taking positions around the room. Try to pick of the scientists holding the Psychosis guns first. It's very disorienting if Joanna takes a hit from one.
- Head to the opposite end of the room on the left side and prepare to shoot a guard standing at attention in the hallway. Take a right into the hallway and follow it down a level into a large room with plenty of jungle foliage.
- Look to the right to take out a dataDyne guard, but keep right to enter a second passageway on the same wall. Once inside the passage, look for a stone door to the left. It looks very similar to the rest of the temple.
- Open stone door, but take a cover position to the left or right. Shoot the guard on the far end of the room and strafe into the room facing to the right to shoot a second patrolling guard.
- Welcome to the room with the X-Ray specs! Pick up the specs on a crate to the immediate right of the entrance. Flip them on to check the guards all around the temple.
Sabotage Lifting Gear
- Exit the chamber to the left and roll across the two sets of wooden planks in the middle of the narrow hallway. The next passage has a series of statue heads that spout fire. Just watch the timing of the fire for a moment to pass through safely.
- Hang two lefts in the next narrow hallway and use the X-Ray specs to check the location on the guard in the next room. After shooting him, keep to the right side to take another long narrow hallway to the left.
- Strafe around the corner ahead to shoot another guard standing at the far end. Take a left at the guard's dead body and Joanna's first right. Use the X-Ray specs to spot to guards ahead with their guns trained on the open doorway.
- This door leads to the lifting gear. Try sliding into range of the guard on the right far enough to see a sliver of his head. Shoot him and do the same with the guard standing just to the left.
- Inside the room, use the X-Ray specs to target any remaining guards and turn your attention to the lift controls below. Use explosives to blow apart the controls from above, otherwise make your way to the floor and use the Data Thief to disable the lift.
- TIP: Grenades from the S-Dragon or multi-mines work really well for blowing up the lift controls.
Rescue Institute Spy
- Continue back the way Joanna first entered this room and follow the winding passageway down two ramps. Look for the locked up informant in the cells below. The X-Ray specs will tell you where he is located.
- Hit A to open his cell and Grimshaw (the scientist) will follow Joanna. Beware of the exit to the left. Several guards with deadly laptop guns will come flooding in on an elevated platform. Use the cover of the doorway to fire single shots at their heads.
- Head through the doorway and peek around the corner to the left to pick off three more guards just waiting to fire on Joanna. Move up to their elevated position via a ramp on the right and continue through a closed stone door on the left.
- Take a right out of the stone door and look to the left for another patrolling guard. After killing him quickly, backtrack slightly to find a stone door that your scientist friend has to open for you.
- Watch the entrance with X-Ray Specs for any errant guards in the area while he works. Once he cracks open the door, the objective will be complete.
- Joanna will be back outside in the thick jungle. Be sure to have the X-Ray Specs turned on or this portion is ridiculously brutal. Tear through the jungle shooting the three guards in her path. Shoot from a distance to avoid being seen in the vegetation.
- Follow the path lit with flashlights to the narrow stone tunnel entrance and into a room with two stone blocks on the floor. The idea is to melee the blocks onto the nearby floor panels.
- Once the panels have been activated, a wooden bridge will be raised ahead. Unfortunately a laser grid blocks the way into the temple. Pull out the Cam-spy with the D-Pad to navigate around it.
- Roll through the lasers and keep right around the pillar just ahead. Follow the ledge to the power source on the left. After the tracking device is planted, the laser grid will fall.
- CUTSCENE: Mai Hem will find the Cam-spy and send her squad of phantom guards after Joanna.
Flood Foundation
- Run through the entrance, down to the lower level on the right and around the winding passageway to reach some snake statue heads on the walls. Shoot the heads to release streams of water into the tunnels. Keep shooting heads until the objective pops up as clear.
- The point of this is to disrupt the clock devices up Mai Hem's upcoming force of elite guards. These "phantoms" use invisible camouflage to hide in the temple.
Defeat Phantoms
- Turn around to see the phantoms shooting plasma blasts at Joanna's position. Strafe to the left and right of the large hallway to blast Mai Hem's forces.
- TIP: Watch the plasma blasts move down the hall and use combat roll (LB) to escape their path.
- Avoid going into cover as the plasma bursts have splash damage. If Joanna takes a position against a wall, it's likely that the plasma bursts will still damage her.
- At some point, it's worthwhile to pick up your own plasma rifle from a dead phantom. Try shooting near the floor if you have trouble hitting them. The splash damage will stun them a bit.
- Once all the phantoms are dead, the mission will end.
- CUTSCENE: Joanna will call Carrington while talking the elevator out of the temple. Carrington wants to her to hang back, but Joanna is going after the plane that the Graal is being loaded onto.
Outpost Rescue
- BRIEFING: Carrington has been monitoring the tacking device. Joanna is on route to the African border in order to beat Zhang Li to the Graal. Carrington wants Joanna to contact him when she finds Jonathan.
- NOTE: Bring the RCP-90 on the mission for the thermal imaging capability.
Rescue Institute Squad
- CUTSCENE: Two drop ships come flying into the dataDyne base and Joanna has hitched a ride on one. Joanna sees Jonathan and a couple Carrington squad members being lead off to interrogation by Mai Hem. Joanna decides to go after Jonathan.
- Switch to the RCP-90 and turn on the thermal imaging by clicking RB. There are about 12 to 15 enemies below Joanna and it's time to kill all of them. Strafe around the top of the rooftop and attempt to get shots on all the guards from several different angles.
- The thermal imaging will also point out the green bodies of Carrington's men in the distance. After killing the entire lot of men below, head left of the starting point to a power station. Use the Locktopus to shut it down and take the zip line to the landing pad below.
- By turning off the power, Joanna has disabled the laser grid protecting the squad's room. You can also blow open a cracked area in the dome above their room if you have the Demo Kit or disable the panel next to the laser grid if you only have the Data Thief.
- Simply walk inside Jonathan's room to complete the objective. Feel free to arm up weaponry at the ammo cages on the far end of the room while Jonathan chats with you.
Neutralize Drop ships
- As your squad heads downstairs to the exit of the building, Carrington will contact you about an incoming drop ship. Head outside by pressing the red pad to the near the closed yellow door and turn on the thermal imaging of the RCP-90 to see the drop ship overhead.
- Immediately unload a clip of ammo into the drop ship and backtrack to follow the drop ship's path above. Unload another clip into the drop ship to watch it explode. This was the first of two drop-ships to destroy to complete this objective.
Ambush Convoy
- Proceed up the ramp outside, but be wary of the dataDyne guard running out to man the stationary machine gun on the upcoming building ahead.
- The convoy is a stream of 10 guards that will flow in from the right of the bridge on ground level. Use the cover of the nearby light posts to help Joanna avoid their fire.
- You can't allow one single guard to pass, but your squad is tremendous help in shooting down the dataDyne forces.
- After the objective is complete, the second drop ship will fly in when the team passes through the arch. The easiest way to take out the second drop ship is to backtrack to the ramp and shoot it as it flies in. Wait for the drop ship to unload some troops and fire on it again as it leaves to complete the objective.
Disable Air Defenses
- After the second drop ship has been taken care of, proceed up the ramp and turn on the thermal imaging system in the RCP-90. If you wait on the ramp for a moment, two men will charge the squad's location. (They were the men dropped off by the second drop ship.)
- Heading through the arched hallway, there is a narrow staircase on the right leading up to a second floor landing. Creep up it to shoot guards to the left. This also opens up the squad to dataDyne forces across the street.
- TIP: Be careful of the sniper in the tall tower in the distance.
- Zip quickly around the second floor of the building and look for another staircase leading up the roof. Peek at the top of the staircase to shoot four guards across the street.
- Use the cover of the stone wall on the roof to pick off the remaining guards in the area. There are several on the ground below.
- The remainder of the city is fairly simple to creep through. Use cover frequently and follow the linear path.
- TIP: Often times your squad will spot the guards before you do. Support their positions to keep them alive, especially the sniper.
- Eventually the team will reach an alley with a staircase at the end. Don't walk up the staircase, as there are about 12 guards above with their guns trained on the top of the staircase.
- Shoot the four guards on the elevated platform on the left first. If you have any explosives, this is a great place to chuck grenades or multi-mines blindly above the overhang.
- Advance far enough and your squad will move up the stairs to take the brunt of the force. Strafe left and right up the stairs to find all the guards. Take it slowly and be careful of Carrington's men walking in front of your weapon fire.
- Once the guards above are all dead, cross the bridge and head toward the air defense bunker.
Defeat Mai Hem
- CUTSCENE: Mai Hem ambushes Joanna on a hovercraft with a mounted machine gun. They trade quips and Mai Hem gets ready to execute Joanna.
- This isn't as tough as it looks to complete. Once you've regained control of Joanna, run to the nearest stone pillar and crouch. Move into cover in crouched mode to avoid all enemy fire.
- Peek out to shoot the driver of the hovercraft rather than Mai Hem for the moment. Once the driver is dead, Mai Hem's attention will be focused on Carrington's squad. Wait for her to shoot upwards at the squad and move out from cover to shot her in the head.
- As she slowly turns to shoot Joanna, move back into cover and repeat the process. After a few headshots, she will fall and Joanna will rejoin the squad to take down the air defenses.
Secure Air Defenses
- Follow Jonathan into the bunker and he will head to a console to start working. Joanna's job is to keep him alive while a dataDyne drop ship assaults the compound with chain gunfire.
- Take a cover position on the right wall and empty ammo clips on the drop ship. This drop ship is a bit tougher than the previous two, but it's certainly not as difficult as Killian's craft.
- TIP: Look for shooting angles in the room that allow Joanna to fire on the drop ship's engine without being in the line of chain gun fire.
- After the ship explodes, the level will be complete.
- CUTSCENE: Jonathan will secure the air defenses just in time and Carrington will congratulate the team on the job well done.
Bridge Assault
- BRIEFING: Carrington informs Joanna that his forces have pushed dataDyne forces back to the Coliseum. Joanna is ordered to meet up with Jonathan to assault the final bridge and stop Zhang Li from reaching the Graal.
- NOTE: A great equipment combo for the start of the level is the RCP-90 and the P9P. Also, bring the Locktopus.
Escort Jonathan
- CUTSCENE: Jonathan and Joanna are seen racing to the bridge on two hovercrafts. As they approach, two Jetpack guards attack Jonathan's hovercraft and tip it over. Joanna isn't happy.
- Concentrate your fire on a single Jetpack guard rather than both. An explosion of one Jetpack should set off the other. Climb off the jetpack and check on Jonathan.
- Once Jonathan gets up, approach a group of Carrington's men to the broken ruins on the left. They are going to need some assistance talking out the enemy snipers as well as the troops on the ground.
Assist Institute Squad
- Use the thermal targeting function of the RCP-90 to spot the enemy snipers on the temple and the ridge to the left. Switch to the P9P and zoom in for headshots. You aren't in much danger from enemy fire if you stay behind cover at a considerable distance.
] - TIP: There is also a Shockwave near the pinned guards if you prefer a true sniper rifle. It has an excellent X-Ray tertiary mode and comes in handy at the main bridge.
- Once the snipers are downed, switch to the RCP-90 to spot the dataDyne forces hiding behind the stone pillars just ahead. Use cover in the area to pick off each guard. Once all the ground troops have been eliminated the objective will be clear.
- There are a couple routes to take through the next portion, but the quickest is through the temple itself. Climb up the temple ramps.
- Move up to the entrance of the temple to look for two guards standing to the right near a group of pillars and a patrolling guard with a body shield to the left. Use the cover of the entrance if necessary.
- Head up the spiraling staircase to find two more shielded guards on the second floor. Run up the third floor and three guards will be waiting at the top of the stairs to shoot Joanna. Crouch to get a better line of fire on approach.
- Move up the final set of stairs to reach the outside road again, but past the fiery blockade of cars. Creep to the right and pay attention to the little window that pops up. A rocket launching guard will be standing on the far right at an elevated position.
- Concentrate your fire on the rocket launcher guard first, then his buddy to the right. It's vital to shoot to use a head shot on the guard carrying the rocket launcher. His rocket blasts are deadly to Joanna.
- After the duo of guards are dispatched, walk to their position and pick up the rocket launcher. It's fairly invaluable for a support objective on the upcoming bridge.
- Turn around and head for the semicircular hanger area behind you. Run into the door on the right to be reunited with Carrington for the main bridge assault. Follow Jonathan into the bunker to complete the escort objective.
Disable Mortars
- Left of the bunker that Carrington resides in, look for a jackal on a crate. Temporarily swap the rocket launcher out and shoot the two jetpack guards hovering on the opposite side of the river first.
- Also use the jackal to concentrate your fire on the 15 to 20 guards on the bridge as well as the guards in the bunker on the opposite side. You can do this from the safety of the two bunkers. After you are finished, swap back out to the rocket launcher
- TIP: If you are low on body armor, walk down to the armory to stock up on more ammo and fresh armor.
- With the main force of on the first half of the bridge quelled, move to the right side of the bridge and look for a stationary turret. Hop in the turret if you have any problems with the remaining guards.
- On the same platform, there is a ladder that needs to be unlocked with the Locktopus. Unlock it and move upwards to gain a superb shooting angle on the mortars. Fire rockets at each of them to complete the objective.
Cross The Bridge
- At this point, there are two ways to cross the bridge. You can use the nearby zip line to quickly reach the opposite side. The more difficult route is heading back down the ladder and crossing on foot.
- If you take the on foot route, be prepared for more waves of enemies being released on Joanna. It's actually a good idea to move to the center of the bridge to trigger a wave and retreat to the stationary gun to kill the majority of incoming guards.
- Also try to move slowly along the bridge and use the various cover objects for support. The third wave of guards will snipe at Joanna from an overhanging section of bridge and ground troops will be shooting as well.
- TIP: Don't be afraid to retreat to Carrington's side for more ammo or switching out for a scoped weapon. The path back is typically safe under the cover of the shooters above.
Infiltrate Coliseum
- Once on the opposite side inside the dataDyne bunker, Joanna will be attacked by several camouflaged women holding plasma rifles. Strafe to the left and right to avoid their weapon fire.
- TIP: If you approach on the left side, the path to the coliseum will be a bit faster and less precarious.
- TIP: The guards with the plasma rifles don't stop spawning. Stay on the move otherwise Joanna will be facing an entire squad of those ladies rather than 1 per room.
- Zip past the mortar positions shooting any plasma wielding guard in the way. Take a left into a canyon area to end the level.
- CUTSCENE: Joanna will run through the fortified bridge position to see Zhang Li already in the Coliseum. Joanna will tell Carrington that they may be too late.
Arena Showdown
- BRIEFING: Carrington informs Joanna that Zhang Li has powered up the Graal and needs to be stopped at all costs.
Kill Zhang Li
- CUTSCENE: Joanna is seen running into the arena just as Zhang Li powers up the Graal. Chandra is seen kneeling before Zhang Li and asks for payment. Zhang Li decides to kill her instead. Joanna walks out to challenge Zhang Li and he rips apart the arena.
- The strategy is rather simple for this boss fight. Zhang Li will jump between the stone platforms surrounding Joanna's position in the center. After landing, he fires blue plasma energy at Joanna. These are deadly on any difficulty level, so strafe to avoid them.
- Shoot Zhang Li with the sniper rifle as he lands on the platform or when he is building up his energy shot. After several jumps and successfully landed shots, he will switch to an alternative form of attack.
- Zhang Li will pick up a massive pillar in the area and throw it at Joanna. Don't bother shooting him at this point; just be ready to dodge the stone pillar. Strafe to the opposite side of the platform to avoid it easily.
- After this attack, Zhang Li will jump to the platform Joanna is standing on and pull a viblade sword to attack her. Track his landing path and be ready to hack him with your sword as he lands.
- Eventually Zhang Li will charge at Joanna's position with the viblade shield up in an attempt to stab you. Press LB to roll out of the way and he will be temporarily stunned on the ground. Hack away before he stands up and jumps back to the stone platforms on the perimeter of the map.
- Zhang Li will also try to build his health levels back up by sucking the life force from some nearby soldiers. Landing a sniper shot will quickly stop this process.
- Repeat the center melee fight a few times and eventually he will fall.
- CUTSCENE: Joanna watches as Zhang Li falls before her. Zhang Li pleads for his life, but the Graal is too much for him to control and destroys him. The arena comes crumbling down and Joanna, still alive, is helped up by Jonathan.
- Congratulations, you have just beaten Perfect Dark Zero on Perfect Agent difficulty!

Achievement Tips
- NOTE: Results from multiplayer matches are not saved unless you completely exit back out to the main menu after finishing your play session.
- Gaining the achievements in Perfect Dark Zero isn't necessarily difficult, but is extremely time-consuming. Many of the multi-player achievements can be earned offline or online. It's often faster to set up a bot match to earn the multi-player achievements rather than playing over Xbox Live. Here are a few strategies for knocking out some achievements a bit more quickly:
- Get 10 / 100 / 1000 Melee Kills + Get 10 / 100 / 1000 Killcount Kills: This achievement is easy to accomplish in Killcount mode. Start the round on the Urban small map, using Agent bots, and slash away using the Viblade. You have to hit the bot in the front, otherwise the kill doesn't count.
- Get 10 / 100 / 1000 Team Killcount Kills + Get 10 / 100 / 1000 Explosive Kills: Start a team killcount game on the small Urban map with only mines. Pit yourself against 15 bots and spam the entrance to their base with mines. Refill on mines near the entrance. You should rack up at least 100 kills every 10 minutes.
- Get 10 / 100 / 1000 Headshots + Get 10 / 100 / 1000 Sniper Kills: Start a Territorial Gains game on small Urban with jackals and 15 brain dead bots. Capture the territory in the center and watch the bots flock to the middle to recapture the territory. Shoot them in the head as they capture it. You are looking at about 250 kills an hour.
- 10,000 Cr and 100,000 CR Property Destroyed: Use two controllers and set up a sabotage game in Dark Ops; 10 minute limit, 5 rounds and the Urban map. Switch off blowing up property on offense and quickly killing the second controller player on defense. Repeat this game again for both achievements.
- Survive 10 / 100 / 1000 Rounds of Eradication: Use two controllers and two profiles. Set up a 10 round Eradication game and quit with the second player controller. Rejoin by hitting start and repeat. Surviving 1000 rounds will take about 3 hours.
