People's Liberation is a premium denim line for men and women. The Los Angeles based designer jeans are soft and cut to perfection. The line also offers corduroys and t-shirts. Their concept is to "liberate the stylistically oppressed".
A Brief History on Jeans
Jeans are made from mainly denim and were first introduced as work pants for laborers in the 1800s. By 1850 a man named Levi Strauss began selling jeans to mining camps in California and after teaming up with tailor Jacob Davis, coined the jeans, Levi's. From that point they added seams, pockets, and copper rivets and by 1873 the concept was patented. Today, jeans are not only a casual wardrobe choice, but can also be found in high end fashion, with top designers creating their version of the denim trend. Prices range from $20 - $500 depending on style and maker.
