People's Choice Awards

The People's Choice Awards is an annual pop culture awards show broadcast on CBS. The award winners are chosen by fans who are given the chance vote online for their favorite music, film and television performers and programs.http://www.peopleschoice.com/pca/about/press.jsp Unlike the Academy Awards and other traditional award ceremonies, People's Choice nominates films, television shows and music that may not have necessarily received positive reviews from critics. The 2011 People's Choice Awards again featured Queen Latifah as the host and included guests such as Elton John, Zac Efron, Natalie Portman and Taylor Swift. The awards categories at the People's Choice Awards are separated into four major genres, television, film, music and Internet. Within each genre, the top works, such as television shows, films, songs and videos, are honored as well as those who helped create the works including the actors, actresses, singers and bands.
