  • Career Overview

David Bazan formed Pedro the Lion in 1995, composing and performing nearly all the songs on the band's first several EP's and first two albums. He was joined in 2002 by Casey Foubert, previously of the band Seldom and in 2003 by Tim Walsh, the only person besides Bazan ever considered a permanent member of the band.

Bazan announced the breakup of Pedro the Lion in early 2006, and shortly thereafter released his first EP as a solo artist, Fewer Moving Parts. (A full-length solo album is due in 2008 from Barsuk Records.) Walsh and Bazan continued to play together, with occasional Pedro the Lion collaborator Frank Lenz, as Headphones.
