Peanuts Characters

A group of children (plus one dog and a bird) make up the characters featured in the popular Peanuts comic strip by the legendary. Charles M. Schulz. Peanuts began as a comic strip. Later Peanuts expanded into television shows and many films for children. The descriptions of all of the Peanuts Characters can be found on this page.

  1. The hopelessly inept but lovable Charlie Brown
  2. His dog, the excitable beagle Snoopy
  3. Crabby would-be psychologist Lucy Van Pelt
  4. Lucy's thumb-sucking, blanket-toting brother Linus Van Pelt
  5. Charlie Brown's younger sister Sally (who is in love with Linus)
  6. Schroeder the piano virtuoso (who Lucy is infatuated with)
  7. The jolly, rough-around-the-edges Peppermint Patty (who may have a crush on Charlie Brown, who she calls "Chuck")
  8. Patty's bespectacled sidekick Marcie
  9. Snoopy's avian sidekick Woodstock
  10. The hygiene-challenged Pigpen
  11. Franklin, the strip's first African-American character who was welcomed to the strip when segregation was still an issue in the United States
  12. Collectively the Peanuts characters are sometimes referred to as "the Peanuts Gang."
