Supermodel, actress and author Paulina Porizkova has appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated and in Playboy. She recently appeared on Dancing with the Stars, but was voted off in the first elimination. Porizkova was also a judge on the 10th season of America's Next Top Model, replacing Twiggy.
On May 13, 2009, Reality Blurred reported that Porizkova was fired from Top Model, quoting her as saying she might have been let go because of "my gigantic huge ego. On May 13, 2009, Reality Blurred reported that Porizkova was fired from America's Next Top Model judging panel. Paulina admitted to Craig Ferguson that she was fired because the show needed to "trim some fat" and she was part of that fat. In 1980, a friend sent pictures of Porizkova to Elite Modeling Management where she was immediately signed by founder John Casablancas. She soon earned supermodel status in Paris as a runway model. She later appeared in Sports Illustrated in 1983, 1984 and 1985, and in Playboy (not nude) in 1987 to promote a calendar.Porizkova signed a contract with cosmetics company Estee Lauder in 1988 that payed her $6 million for her print ad campaign and television commercials. She worked with the company until 1995.
