  • Paula Cole is an American Grammy Award-winning Singer-Songwriter. Cole got her first big professional break when she was invited to perform on Peter Gabriel's 1992-1993 world tour. Shortly thereafter she signed with Imago Records. She released her debut album, Harbinger, in 1994. Not long after the album was released the company folded, which prevented her first album from getting any airplay. In 1995, she signed with Warner Bros. Records. She then reissed her debut album.

In 1996, she released her second album which produced the smash hit "Where Have All the Cowboys Gone?." It reached number eight on Billboard Magazine's pop chart. Her followup single "I Don't Want to Wait" reached the number 11 spot on the charts. It was also used in the opening credits of the hit television show Dawson's Creek.

After releasing her second album Cole went on hiatus to raise her daughter. In 1999, she released Amen with her newly formed band, the Paula Cole Band. Her single "I Believe in Love" was not a success at first, but when it was remixed by Steven Miller, it became a hit on the dance floors. The album, overall, was not a success. Cole recorded her fourth album, but her label refused to release it.

Her newest album, Courage, released in 2007, received strong critical praise and was in stark contrast to her previous albums.
