    In an interview with Ladies' Home Journal in early May of 2009, Abdul reportedly admitted to being previously addicted to pain killers after denying the claims for years.     On January 1, 2009, The National Enquirer reported that Abdul is in talks with CBS/Paramount Network Television regarding an idea she has for a daytime talk show.     On April 29, 2008, Abdul seemed confused when it was her turn to give an opinion on American Idol contestant Jason Castro. She apparently thought she heard him sing two songs when in fact he sang one. Abdul said, "Jason, first song, I loved hearing your lower register, which we never really hear...the second song- I felt like your usual charm was missing for me.   • Erratic Behavior

    Allegations of substance abuse seem to follow Abdul. During the first few seasons of American Idol, rumors of "erratic behavior" circulated the internet. In an interview with People magazine in 2005, Abdul explained that she suffered from chronic pain after suffering a "cheerleading accident" when she was 17 years old. Abdul said she was pain-free and takes the anti-inflammatory medication Enbrel. In 2007, videos of Abdul slurring her speech circulated the internet. Abdul attributed this to her lack of sleep.     Jill Kohl filed suit against Paula Abdul, Bravo Television and NBC Universal on March 2, 2009, after claims that she fell on Abdul's driveway during a taping of her reality show Hey Paula.
