Paul Stastny is a professional hockey player born in Canada. He was raised in St. Louis, Missouri, and currently plays with the Colorado Avalanche in the National Hockey League.

Career Highlights
Prior to playing in the NHL, Stanstny attended and played for the University of Denver, starting in 2004. Also in 2004, Stastny played internationally with the United States in the Viking Cup, taking home a silver medal. He was drafted 44th overall in the 2005 NHL draft by the Colorado Avalanche. He made his NHL debut that same year, playing all 82 regular season games. He also earned a spot on the NHL All-Rookie Team and was nominated for the Calder Trophy as the NHL's Rookie of the Year.
