Paul Simon is a Grammy-award winning folk singer-songwriter whose career has spanned almost five decades and included forays into Pop, Rock, Folk and World Music.
Simon & Garfunkel
Simon spent his early career as part of the duo Simon & Garfunkel with fellow singer-songwriter Art Garfunkel. The group produced a number of hit albums, including the soundtrack to the Mike Nichols film The Graduate. After the duo broke-up in 1970, Simon began an extremely successful solo career.
Graceland
After a number of well-received albums, Simon teamed up with the South African choir Ladysmith Black Mambazo for the 1986 album Graceland. The album won a Grammy for "Album of the Year" and was instrumental in helping to popularize World Music.
Since Then
Since the release of Graceland, Simon has gone on to produce a number of varied works, including the Broadway Musical The Capeman.
