Former college football player Paul Rhoads serves as the head coach of the Iowa State Cyclones football team. Coaching Career
Rhoads began his coaching career as a graduate assistant, working with the Utah State Aggies and the Ohio State Buckeyes. In 1992, he left the Buckeyes to become the defensive backs coach of the Pacific Tigers, where he also served as the defensive pass coordinator in 1994. His next move came in 1995, when went to Iowa State to serve as the inside linebackers and secondary coach until 1999.Auburn Tigers: Paul Rhoads
In 2000, Rhoads took a position with the Pittsburgh Panthers, serving as the defensive coordinator. He helped the Panthers reach five bowl games, the Insight Bowl in 2000, the Tangerine Bowl in 2001, the Continental Tire Bowl in 2005 and the Fiesta Bowl in 2005.
