American actor, director and writer, Paul Reiser came to national attention playing one half of a happy couple Paul Buchman on the NBC sitcom Mad About You. His wife, Jamie, was played by Helen Hunt. The series lasted from 1992-1999.
Before Mad About You, Reiser was a stand up comedian and acted in supporting parts in the films Diner, Bye, Bye Love and Writer's Block.
As an author, Reiser wrote two books that were both number one on the New York Times Best Seller List. The first, entitled Couplehood, chronicled his relationship and marriage to his wife. The second, entitled Babyhood, dealt with the struggles and joys of becoming a new parent.

An entry was added to Paul Reiser's Wikipedia page in late December 2008 claiming that the actor was found dead stating, "On December 27th, 2008, Reiser was discovered dead in the Squallahassee River where he reportedly enjoyed fly fishing.
