Career
In 1979, Prudhomme opened his restaurant, Louisiana Kitchen, in New Orleans. He has also created his own special blend of Cajun seasonings known as Meat Magic, Vegetable Magic, and Poultry Magic and has written several cookbooks.In 2007, he began hosting Chef Paul Prudhomme's Always Cooking! on PBS.
Shooting
On March 25, 2008, Prudhomme was grazed by a bullet while cooking at a golf course in Louisiana. The bullet, .22 caliber, hit his arm and then fell from his sleeve. Prudhomme sustained no injury from the bullet that could have been fired by a hunter in the rural area near the golf course.Notable Works
